    SM11 Miracle Twins!

Japanese cards don't do the alt art 'A'. If you look, Mysterious Treasure is marked with a 'B' from last year's block making it an alt art for the international release.

Five 'Kanto Friends Mini Tins' in March, Feature 'The Scream' Promos?!

These are some cute art. They're no scream series but I still want a set.

Ruling Unown now banned in Expanded Format

@Otaku you bring up a good point with Kabutops and Omastar being released intentionally to necessitate the banning of Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick. Either or both of these Pokemon could've been released as water types which would've put Archie's Ace in the Hole on the chopping block, but there are...

Unown DAMAGE Banned in Japan, Will Likely Be Banned by TPCi Too!

But the thing is Ditto Prism Star can evolve directly to Archeops. Putting a hard stop on evolving from hand is too dangerous an effect regardless.

Unown DAMAGE Banned in Japan, Will Likely Be Banned by TPCi Too!

The second combo utilizes Deluge Blastoise, Frozen City, and Energy Reset. Frozen city places damage on board with each water energy attached by deluge and then you return them all to hand with Energy Reset and doing it again until you reach the damage needed. You either win Turn 1/2 or probably...

Unown DAMAGE Banned in Japan, Will Likely Be Banned by TPCi Too!

How long has Maxie's Hidden Ball Trick been banned in Japan's expanded? Is that going to join our ban list too when we get Kabutops and Omastar from Tag Team?

Championship Point Requirements for 2018 Worlds Announced!

According to the Play! Pokemon Leaderboards, 52 players had 550 or more Championship Points. 550 isn't an easy number to reach and is impossible if you don't place well in at least 1 regional event. Now I've gotta go to more regionals than I expected if I want that invite.

    Fun Celestial Storm pull rates

I opened an ETB with the only hit being a Jirachi Prism Star, the worst pull rate of any ETB I've ever gotten. My booster box I got: Mr. Mime SR Stackatacka FA Rayquaza, Electrode, Mr. Mime, Scizor GX Latias, Latios, Jirachi Prism Star So overall it was about 25% hits.

Alt. Format (SUM-LTH) They called me crazy (Kingdra GX)

You should try to find a couple spaces for Max Potion. Since you can move water energy from the bench to the active, you can retreat or switch out a damaged Kingdra-GX, move all its energy to a new Kingdra-GX, and heal off all its damage with Max Potion. This will help keep those clunkier Stage...

Discussion Volcanion (and other Fire) decks in Expanded (Post-ban)

Between Kiawe, Blacksmith, Max Elixir, and Turtonator GX I stopped running baby Volc.

Discussion Volcanion (and other Fire) decks in Expanded (Post-ban)

Yeah exactly you just gotta make sure to run a counter. I was playing a Ho-Oh variant without any non-EX/GX since I could Hex Maniac against Hoopa.

Discussion Volcanion (and other Fire) decks in Expanded (Post-ban)

Post Ban you’re gonna need to make sure you have outs to Walls like Scoundrel Ring Hoopa and maybe Pyroar if that see play again. Maybe Salazzle GX will come back or you can play your own Pyroar.

    SM7a 'Fairy Rise' Announced!

You can’t grab any of those Pokémon it’s basic grass Pokémon only. If it was like dive ball with grass that’d be fantastic.

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

Unfortunately we don’t have slow formats right now. These cards weren’t creating slower setups either, they were creating lopsided games. It may give the impression that it was slower but that was because your opponent has been deprived of resources letting you comfortably setup at your own pace...

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

You can still build decks with disruption like red card or item lock like Seismetoad or Trevenant they’re just less one sided in how it works. You can still get ability lock too with Grennja or Garbodor, but the important thing is these are more counterable and balanced. If you’re not a fan of...

Ghetsis, Hex Maniac, and More Banned from Expanded Format!

On the topic of “why not ban card X”, the cards that have been banned so far are all cards that stop gameplay. When people point to Dimension Valley or VS Seeker to be banned those cards aren’t stopping any gameplay and both players can utilize it. Hex Maniac stops the opponent from using...

News Tapu Lele-GX in 'Island Guardians-GX Premium Collection' This Fall!

It's great seeing a promo Lele to increase availability, but the real question is will it have a promo number or be labeled an alternate? Fingers crossed for a promo number to extend its Standard format lifespan and value.

    SM7a 'Fairy Rise' Announced!

I'm excited to add this to Mega Gardevoir. Recycling a couple of these from bench to discard every turn will definitely help pick up knockouts.

    News Japan's SM6b, 'Champion Road'!

The difference between Banette GX being weak to dark and Zoroark GX being weak to fighting is that it's extremely easy for Zoroark GX to hit 100 damage before applying weakness than it is for Buzzwole GX to hit 110 damage.

    News Japan's SM6b, 'Champion Road'!

I was so excited to include a 1-1 of Electrode GX in my Ho-Oh GX build for late game energy acceleration but that no EX/GX rule ruins it. It loses so much potential with that clause.
