Ruling Aegislash (Forbidden Light) Record of Death

Once the defending Pokemon leaves the active position, all effects are removed from it including Record of Death. I can't find the ruling, but it's worked the same for Jirachi's Doom Desire & Beedrill's Allergic Shock attacks in the past.

Help Ultra Prism Luxray Volt Bolt

The important wording of Unit Energy as you state there is “AND”. You do not choose what the energy is worth at any time. It is always worth all three types, but is only a value of one energy. The one at a time means that it doesn’t count as three energy when fufilling a quantity cost not that...

Help Ultra Prism Luxray Volt Bolt

Unit Energy counts as a lightning energy when attached so it would be discarded by Volt Bolt.

And with that, my dreams of another poison barrier Dragalge are broken. Farewell hopes for poison stall.

Collecting Wrong card numbers in Guardians Rising

The Rainbow Rares may be organized by their standard prints' set number, which are by type and national dex number. In this unusual case, Primarina GX's standard print is in Sun & Moon technically making it come earlier in set order than standard print Alolan Ninetales GX. If there were other...

    'Forbidden Light,' Japan's SM6 Set!

Eneporter can actually be more useful than Enhanced Hammer. If a DCE is discarded, it can get recycled with Special Charge and Puzzle of Time, but if it ends up on an Octillery or multiple on a Zoroark they have to figure out a way to recycle it themselves if they want to utilize that DCE properly.

    Standard Little Dynamo (Pachirisu/Raichu GX)

I'd say drop Acerola, Nest Ball, Jolteon EX, and Tapu Koko GX. I'm not sure how good a single Acerola will do you here; You've already got 4 ultra ball and brigette, losing 1 nest ball wont hurt; Jolteon EX isn't very helpful with a format full of evolved Pokemon; and Tapu Koko Gx is at best...

    Standard Little Dynamo (Pachirisu/Raichu GX)

Every energy on your Pokemon is worth 20 damage and you'll need at least 7 or 8 in play to take OHKOs depending on the defending Pokemon & if you have a choice band. You'll want to be preserving that energy after they take knockouts on you to keep streaming the OHKOs. They'll keep the energy of...

    Standard Little Dynamo (Pachirisu/Raichu GX)

I've been testing out this idea for a little while now and I'd recommend max counts on Pachirisu, Max Elixir & Exp Share to maximize accelerating and retaining energy for Powerful Spark. When you don't pull off Snuggly Generator early this deck gets hurt bad.

Standard I Need Help With My Garchomp/Lucario Deck

I would advise against that. Spiritomb is more of a liability than a resource. Puzzle of Time and Pal Pad provide plenty of solutions to recovering Cynthia. Spiritomb requires an energy attachment and your attack for the turn. That means that you get 2 Cynthia back without using an item at the...

Standard I Need Help With My Garchomp/Lucario Deck

This deck already requires a lot of items in setting up between Ultra Ball, Rare Candy & Choice Band. By the point of the match when you'll be needing to recycle Cynthia, Trashvalanche will probably be powered to take knock outs anyway. Playing Spiritomb would be a free prize for them since...

Standard I Need Help With My Garchomp/Lucario Deck

Between Puzzle of Time and Pal Pad, that's more than enough ways to recycle Cynthias. If you use all 4 Puzzles and 2 Pal Pads for exclusively Cynthia, that's 12 available. Spiritomb would be inefficient requiring energy and attacking.

Discussion Don't be surprised if Metal falls flat

The new Ultra Sun and Moon cards will improve existing metal decks and bring about some new ones. It's easy to look at the new cards in a bubble, but you gotta look at what already exists as well. Some new metal decks focusing on probably Dusk Mane Necrozma and Magnezone will crop up, but...

Discussion Don't be surprised if Metal falls flat

It wouldn't work because Silvally GX is a Stage 1 Pokemon which aren't effected by Steam Up. If it was a basic, Steam Up would work since it's considered a fire type with Fire Memory attached.

Discussion Don't be surprised if Metal falls flat

I agree Silvally GX is a force to be considered, but two important metal types, Metagross GX & Solgaleo GX at 250 HP, are outside of OHKO range of its Turbo Drive even with Fire Memory attached. Hitting 240 damage means nothing if they max potion it away like their decks are designed to do.

Standard Silvally GX & Xerneas Break

I pulled a couple Silvally GX out Ultra Sun and Moon, and after seeing the European International finals I'm interested in utilizing it competitively. I've decided on partnering it with Xerneas Break since it's a deck I've already been piloting. I'm open to other partner suggestions aside from...

Help Best ways to prevent gameplay errors? Gameplay help?

A good way to avoid errors is to talk through step by step on everything you're doing. Jumping straight to Brigette without grabbing Lele first is a common error I've seen people make because they jump straight to the end step. Play your ultra ball, search for Lele, bring Lele to your hand...

Discussion What Decks Do You Play???

Standard: Xerneas Break with Golisopod/Zoroark, Rainbow Road, & a spread deck built on the side. With Ultra Prism's release I'm batting around ideas for Garchomp, Luxio, Raichu GX, and Empoleon standard decks depending on what feels fun to play.

Standard The one, the only GARCHOMP!!! (Garchomp/Lucario/Cynthia)

I've been thinking about this deck a lot lately. I agree with what Dark Espeon has said in regards to Brigette, Tapu Lele, and devoured field. Going beyond that, we did get the dragon type Gible that can retreat for free with a fighting energy attached to it. This one will be extremely important...

    Standard Cynthia

I think Devoured Field is being overlooked here. That extra 10 damage gets you to a very important 210 which will knock out Zoroark, Golisopod, Ninetails, Silvally and Raichu GXs. Yeah you can overshoot this with Choice Band to hit 230, but this gives you more ways to achieve that extra damage...
