Help The "Is There A Card That Does This?" Thread

Alolan Dugtrio from Sun & Moon base increases your opponent's retreat cost by 1.

Discussion Brigette, a card that makes players love or hate the most

I believe they should issue a ruling on all tournament legal cards printed prior to Sun/Moon Base that refer to EXs are also to include GXs. The problem with Brigette right now is that a combination of 3 basics including GXs can be grabbed making for incredibly efficient set ups in certain decks...

    Discussion Alt Format - Free4All

This sounds super neat to play with! For cards like Spiritomb STS that allow you to move damage between your opponent's Pokemon would that be limited to a single opponents Pokemon, all opponents Pokemon separated by opponent, or all opponents combined? It'll either be really broken or really fun...

News Japan's SM4+ Set: 'GX Battle Boost!'

I'm surprised they didn't make an original Ultra Space Lusamine card with a different effect like how Lysandre also had Trump Card.

Standard Super-Charged Mega Venusaur for Standard!

I like this deck and definitely wanna play around with it once I get the cards. M Venusaur can 2HKO anything in the format and has a good chance to do so with the guaranteed paralysis. Only a few decks run dedicated switching cards and if your opponent has to burn a Guzma to forcibly switch, I'd...

    Standard Honchkrow/Tapu Koko/Necrozma GX

http://www.pokebeach.com/2017/06/tapu-lele-pin-collection-product-image Here's the Tapu Lele in question with the Magical Swap attack. I mentioned Spiritomb as opposed to Tapu Lele because there's no mention as to when this promo will release internationally.

Standard Halloween Massacre (Gorgeist SM4 / Klefki)

I'm definitely gonna build this when the set comes out for fun. I recommend playing a Nest Ball or two so you can shuffle multiple Klefki into the deck with Rescue Stretcher and get them back on your bench easily. You'll probably want to bring the Klefki straight to your hand most of the time...

    Standard Honchkrow/Tapu Koko/Necrozma GX

Might I suggest Spiritomb from Steam Seige? With it's Damage Play attack, you can move all of the benched damage around to take knockouts. I also recommend including counter energy when Crimson Invasion releases since this deck will be behind in prizes until it takes a bulk of knockouts.

News 'Shiny Silvally-GX Box' in November!

At least this is better than them ripping Silvally from the proper set. I like the idea of making shiny promos to accompany the GX variants in the set.

News Massive 'Premium Trainer's XY Collection' Releasing in November!

All of the cards in the box are marked as alternative art cards so they rotate with the last numbered set printing of those cards. Anything that has rotated stays rotated. News Several Upcoming TCG Products Cancelled or Delayed

It's almost as if releasing 4 core sets, 1 special set, theme decks, elite trainer boxes, GX premium collections, challenge boxes, tins, knock out collections, battle arena decks, legendary battle decks, pin boxes, power collections, blisters, trainer kits, and super premium collections has...

    Standard Golisopod/Weavile

I like the concept behind this deck! I think you can replace the rainbow energy with grass energy since Espeon and Weavile only need a colorless energy to attack with. I don't know if you'll need a 3-3 line of Weavile. I see similar Zoroark Variants play 2-2 lines which will free up some space...

    Help Golisopod-GX counter in Ninetales

As someone who plays Golisopod, I find baby A-Ninetales is a good counter. It's not an auto-win, but it will force them to find a solution while you strengthen your Ninetales GX. Golisopod can't OHKO Ninetales GX so making good use of Ice Path GX puts them in a more difficult situation as well.

    Discussion SM4 Worst Set Ever?

This reminds me of when Plasma Storm came out and a bulk of the cards were deemed useless. Lugia EX had a cool ability, but couldn't take a knock out; Team Plasma Pokemon were under-powered and limited to 4 plasma energy in a deck; the only good cards were Colress, Hypnotoxic Laser, and Virbank...

News 'Shining Legends Special Collection: Raichu-GX' in January!

I dislike them pulling these cards from the sets from a consistency point. Some Pokemon-GX have all three variants in the set while others have either the standard art (Tapu Bulu), the full art (Raichu/Zoroark/Starters), or the rainbow art (Ho-oh) pulled for a separate product. I'm all for...

News 'Shining Legends Special Collection: Raichu-GX' in January!

TPCi really knows how to cannibalize their products. This is why promos exist! Leave these cards in their sets and MAKE A BOX PROMO. There are too many of these box products to keep up with and they ruin the completion of sets.

Help Should I just move to Expanded?

If you're interested in the wider card pool and potential strategies of Expanded, I'd say go for it and pull together some Expanded cards and decks. Be warned some decks get overwhelmingly powerful with years worth of support stacked. That being said, you will still want to keep an eye on...

News September's SM4 Set: 'The Awoken Hero' and 'The Transdimensional Beast'

The art reminds me of some of the original gym stadium cards. I kinda like the art as an homage.
