    'Sky Legends' Officially Revealed!

Yay a flying type set! I so want to build around the legendary bird tag team and hope the card's good enough to justify doing so.

    SM10a \'GG End\' Mini-Set in April

Reset stamp is ridiculous, a one-sided N that doesn't stop the user in the end game from playing their own draw supporter. I don't know what to make of it yet but it's gonna be everywhere.

    Help GIRATINA

It's tricky dealing with a pokemon that sets up in one turn, comes back from the discard, and hits hard. I generally find KOing the malamar the better choice, leave those energy on until the knockout can stick.

    Discussion Answer to the meta

Finding an answer to the meta is the central challenge in deckbuilding in this game, solving it is how you win tournaments. I don't think Absol's it right now though, even with high counts, 'cause switching cards are everywhere in decks that actually want to move their pokemon. Not that it's...

    Discussion Pyukumuku

I don't think it's viable, but your best bet is probably something with burst balloons, shrines, and eco arms - force them to attack and punish them for doing so. Fliptini might help making that attack less terrible but the downside is that benching it offers a guzma target and a prize you...

Table 244 birdboy2000 defeats @wolfkingponyboy 2-1 in one heck of a series, took all my skill and a fair bit of prize luck to escape with the W. Good games!

    Discussion Mill vs Blacephelon

Ice wing one-shots both Blacephalon and Naganadel. Hoopa is immune to Blacephalon. muk (an occasional counter to said Hoopa) has 4 retreat cost. If you play the energy to attack with Articuno it's highly favorable, although I'm not sure how much the more standard lists with super low energy...

Winners of PokeBeach’s January 2019 and December 2018 PTCGO Tournaments!

Thanks! Charizard's honestly unwinnable I think unless your opponent misplays badly, Shuckle's paradoxically your least bad wall (requires a manual attachment + poison at least makes them switch or set up another one eventually) and Articuno can one-shot, but it's just not enough. And Pikarom...

Winners of PokeBeach’s January 2019 and December 2018 PTCGO Tournaments!

Wow, reading my answers from pre-TEU surprised me, I was completely underestimating Pikazek and Zapdos and wound up adding a thin Vileplume line to deal with them, but overestimating Judge Whistle's threat, and Black Market and Erika's Hospitality's value, added none of the cards I was...

    Discussion Zapdos Jirachi in expanded

I don't know how on earth it doesn't just get wrecked by Archiestoise/Wailkarp. And while no one appreciates item lock via toad, Zapdos especially doesn't. Garb's everywhere too, but at least Alolan muk is in standard as well, so I don't know how big a difference that is. Haven't actually seen...

"Knock Off" Shock Lock — Post-Dallas Rogue Profile and Recap

Suicune-GX is also an anti-deckout option although I don't know if Shock Lock has the bench space. I'm using it in my non shock lock expanded stall deck myself. Not 100% sure I need it, realistically your opponent's gonna burn cards much faster almost every game, but it's nice to have around...

'Unbroken Bonds,' May's English SM10 Set!

That Porygon-Z seems really interesting, Blastoise/Magnezone for special energy is gonna make some decks viable that no one is playing right now because setup is too slow/impractical and (apart from Lugia GX) I don't even know what. And Boost isn't a prism star either. I wanted to try out the...
