Discussion What Deck do you Plan Running for the 2017 Rotation?

You have just made Pokemon more fun for yourself, creativity and breaking the meta rules!

    No Problem. :D

Expanded Need help streamlining my deck....

If you want to speed it up you should be running 3-4 of Sycamore and 2-3 of N, also I think you can drop a FFB because it only gives health to basics which is not something this deck relies on. Add in a Muscle Band and keep 2 FFB for your Basics. Another worthy Contender for your deck is Lugia...

    Standard ~WAVE~DECK~

You will have to put in a good amount of money(for cards at least), but another option is the Water Lock Deck DIG made, check it out here. The Manaphy is available for $3.99USD right now, but there are only two left. If you're looking for more specific cards check Troll and Toad or buy the...

    Standard ~WAVE~DECK~

Welcome to the PTCG! This deck won't work out very well, you'd have to be insanely lucky in order to pull off your strategy as there is only one copy of each Pokemon. I suggest you look into building a Rainbow Road Xerneas Deck, it's powerful and has an interesting mechanic.

    Standard Flareon-EX Deck!

Basically this list but with 2 Volcanion EX and 1 Hoopa EX also -1 Camerupt -1 Numel. And some other supporter changes.
  7. FierySplash

Standard Electric Deck (2017 Standard New Rotation)

I agree, the main focus of this deck revolves around insanely high damage and once you get a benched Flareon-EX charging too, the opponent becomes way to petrified to think about taking out anything else. :D Although, I never really thought that is the reason why Octillery is never Lysandre'd...

    Standard Fight Alone Lucario

Yeah, the only thing it will affect is Max Elixir. However Lucario doesn't need more than two energy, so I think it is worthwhile to try Special Metal Energy out.
  9. FierySplash

Standard Electric Deck (2017 Standard New Rotation)

Ya, that's also a good idea as it is an item card rather than a supporter.

    Discussion Is Machamp-EX still viable?

Here is a suggestion for Pokemon. 3 Machamp EX 2 Regirock EX 1 Zygarde EX 2 Carbink 2 Carbink Break Let me know how it goes!

Standard Electric Deck (2017 Standard New Rotation)

Take out an FFB as you only have 2 Jolteon-EX so it's fine if you only have 2 FFB instead of 3 and take out one Ultra Ball, there you have it, space for two Clemont.

    Standard Fight Alone Lucario

I apologize for going a bit off-topic but wouldn't Expanded Fight Alone Lucario be really powerful? Target Whistle & Captivating Pokepuff along with Training Center? Pokemon - 11 4 Riolu (FCO 45) 3 Unown (AOR 30) 4 Lucario (FCO 63) Energy - 10 8 Metal Energy (GEN 82) 2 Shield Energy (PCL...

    Standard Flareon-EX Deck!

I agree, plus with the loss of Super Scoop Up and AZ it is harder to get Shaymin-EX out of play.
  14. FierySplash

    Standard Flareon-EX Deck!

Thanks for the compliment @leeanna36! Yeah, Garbodor will be the only thing slowing me down if it does get set up. Although, I will have the option to charge a benched Flareon-EX with Max Elixir and then wait for a Lysandre, the second that ability lock turns off, there will be energy flying...

    Standard Glaceon-EX / Jolteon-EX

A very one-sided approach to a open-minded and creative game. Every deck has its counters, whether it be Parallel City or simply a type mismatch, triumph that challenge and you'll take the game.
  16. FierySplash

    Standard Flareon-EX Deck!

Nice list! But what I noticed after further studying the cards is that, Camerupt gets me the cards on to Flareon before my turn ends while Volcanion will do it after it ends so I cannot Flash Fire until next turn. I guess this can be considered a drawback but Camerupt uses his ability while...

    Standard Flareon-EX Deck!

2 Parallel City with 2 Scorched Earth.
  18. FierySplash

    Standard Flareon-EX Deck!

    2 Team Magma's Camerupt (DCR 2) 3 Flareon-EX (GEN 128) 2 Team Magma's Numel (DCR 1) 2 Remoraid (BKT 32) 1 Octillery (BKT 33) 10 Fire Energy (GEN 76) 2 Lysandre (FLF 104) 2 Escape Rope (PCL 127) 1 Team Rocket's Handiwork (FCO 112) 1 Super Rod (BKT 149) 1 Giovanni's Scheme (BKT 162) 3 Trainers'...

Expanded [HELP] Budget Creep Show Gengar / Crobat

@Dalton, it has become pretty common that players disregard Budget decks and cards like Octillery, which as far as I can tell you Octillery is actually better for some decks than a Shaymin-EX would be.
