Discussion The Blazing Hellhound - (M) Houndoom EX Discussion

I honestly find that Mega Houndoom is better than the mill version of Houndoom. I dislike mill decks, so maybe it's just me, but I think that Mega Houndoom is powerful on its own, but regice ruins your life :(

    Standard Speed Night March

Why no basic energies? Aegislash is an autoloss, given that you don't hit a hex maniac. I MO I prefer a Night March/Entei build to beat bee/metal matchups, but it takes a little less hex and a tad more fire power.

    Standard Nidoqueen / Octillery

I would say drop Tiernos for more birch/sycamore. Build the engine around octillery, then you can shrink your hand after getting certain things off of birch or sycamore. I would also add another lysandre, in case the only one is prized.

Standard Manectric EX / Lucario EX / Crobat

The only issue I see is that Lucario relies on the support of strong energies, muscle bands, etc. Manectric is quick setup and disruptive with head Ringer and hammers. Lucario can stack damage but he requires too much focus.

    Standard Handigross (Metagross / Miltank)

I absolutely LOVE Handigross! As my first Pro deck, I had a good time with this. I actually didn't run Miltank, just because it's a tad unreliable without a metagross down. I actually ran Registeel and it worked beautifully.

    Standard Trevenant BREAK / Gengar

Awesome list! Have you ever debated running Gengar EX (PHF) to be able to hit and run? Trevanant/Gengar EX has always been big, and the addition of Gengar BKT makes it kind of nasty. Something to consider.

    Standard Scizor EX / Crobat

Also, take out wally/evo soda entirely. These do not support bats because bats need to evolve FROM HAND. in addition, I would run Zoroark and Float Stone to allow scizor to switch back and forth and to provide a secondary attacker. I would also cut bats to a 4-3-2 to line. Unfortunately bats are...

Standard Kyurem EX / Togekiss / Octillery

Smart idea!! I need to figure out how to use this, especially with zoroark running rampant That's a better idea :) megaman/kyurem may be my choice but we'll have to see how the money rolls come next paycheck lol
  10. GolurkChamp2597

Standard Kyurem EX / Togekiss / Octillery

The main reason why I was running it this way was because I don't have manectric or kyogre lol :) however these are some awesome ideas!!

Standard Windy Miltank (Miltank / Unfezant)

This would be decent if it wasn't for unfezant taking 3 energies. In addition, throwing in a zoroark to switch between miltank and unfezant would be perfect for the deck!

Standard Kyurem EX / Togekiss / Octillery

This is my personal list that I've been working on for Kyurem, and I honestly loved this pokemon on release. I'm having a problem being able to OHKO, however. Pokémon: 3 Kyurem EX AOR 3-3-3 Togekiss ROS 2-2 Octillery BKT 2 Regice Trainers/Supporters/Stadiums: 3 Professor Sycamore 3 Shauna 2...

Standard Y Blades (Baby Yveltal / Golurk / Zoroark)

I love the addition of Golurk in this deck! However, I lack to see much energy acceleration. Golurk has a very high attack cost, so you may power up mewtwo or golurk, but you need to find a way to get both powered up. Yveltal is good, but doesn't synergize well with golurk. Maybe baby xerneas...

Standard Gyarados AOR / Shedinja: Struggling for Consistency

Thanks for the advice! Honestly, I really haven't touched this deck in a while, since I am having more fun with other decks. I was debating adding that, but losing resources in my hand/deck is devastating. I'm addition, the Gyarados takes a lot of different tools, and I've never really had an...

Standard Gyarados AOR / Shedinja: Struggling for Consistency

Personally, I prefer Octillery just because it's cheaper and it's not super Lysandre bait. Sure, people will pull it up to stall, but it's not a 2 prize loss. In addition, shaymin and gyarados share the lightning weakness. I'm not fully against shaymin. In fact, I run 2 in Turbo blaze Ray (deck...
  16. GolurkChamp2597

Standard Gyarados AOR / Shedinja: Struggling for Consistency

The issue is that Gyarados is already doing 250 damage with 3 Karps and 2 muscle bands. The deck works to where I don't need all of them down, because it is fast than most megas, except maybe Ray. 4 bases increase consistency, mainly cuz that's my issue is finding bases and all the pokes. In...

Standard Typhlosion / Octillery / Gallade

This deck idea is awesome! I've recently been real behind throwing Gallade in decks everywhere, use running through Manectrics. Typhlosion also covers grass, Octillerys weakness. Hope you have luck with this list, I will copy it for a LC lol :)
  18. GolurkChamp2597

Standard Lugia EX / Zoroark / Gallade

Also, you may consider an inclusion of regirock AOR. Although it's not better than Gallade in any way (believe me I know from experience) it creates less reliance on Maxie

Standard Gyarados AOR / Shedinja: Struggling for Consistency

Thanks for the suggestion guys! Sycamore and Shauna could make it more consistent, and I tossed in extra search cards/1 sacred ash to get all my Karps back. Octillert would be a better inclusion, as shaymin is more of a 1 trick pony.
