You have plenty of basics to not mulligan that often, sounds like you might have just had a run of bad luck. I run a Greninja deck with 6 basics and it mulligans a lot, but rarely 4 times. You can add Judge or red card if you want to knock the opponent's hand down after mulligan, but it helps...

If you're worried about Pyroar, simply run a M Lucario tech, much more consistent than a full 2-2-2 line. Or even better, just add Hex Maniac.

I'm planning to tech one BKT in Expanded, with Dark Patch available I run more Dark and less DCE, which makes Dark Pulse more useful. In standard, without Dark Patch, YZG isn't running enough Dark to make Darkrai EX good
