This is just showing that the PTCG just doesn't care a darn about power creep! o.O Wow... You got these cards that would have ruled/dominated/decimated formats and people are arguing about playability. I'm really hoping they drop this whole "everything has to be basic and a EX style card" back...

How much power creep do you want? Yes Sorry, but these cards are RIDICULOUS compared to anything from the B/W era or before. Geez... :/

As much as I'm bumped by the insane power creep the TCG had had over the last years (the base Pokémon HP is higher now than most stage 1-2 in the old days) the art has improved over the years! A far cry from those weird badly rendered cgi arts.

Urgh! I really want to return to the game but then... THIS! The PTCG has one of the maybe worst powercreeps in card games. Why do you need to boost the HP even further? Why is V a basic Pokémon mechanic? There is just no more real reason to go for any Stage 2 anymore, since they can't keep up...

I like a good read, so no worry! :D I played BW onward a bit but not too much. You got a point that the TCG and videogames could use some diffrents but since the prize idea is such a core mechanic but EX/GX and Tag Teams are messing a lot with that, EX/GX a bit less and Tag Teams beeing close...

My problem was kinda that Pokémon EX turned the game completly upside down. The core mechanic of knocking out 6 Pokémon and to maybe focus on more than just one basic, annoyed me. Then Raquaza Mega came and I was really far from even wanting too return. The meta of 200+ damage attacks for 1~2...

I personally LOATH the Pokémon EX and it is a big reason I took my break and haven't returned playing. Didn't research before posting since this was more a “thought to paper“ threat. But thanks, I suppose I'll have a look. ;)
