Thank god for that, they have to stop the creep at some point. I honestly hope nothing too crazy comes out and next rotation finally leaves us with a more down to earth game again, full of stage 2s and back and forth games.

The art reminded me of the amazing Primal Clash Kyogre-EX art. I guess because of how it sort of simulates the pokémon coming out of the card in the same way.

After coming back from work and having cooled from the initial reaction I have to agree 100% with this, I think the more grounded apporach here is totally correct, when you think about it, yeah, Max already whiffed a lot when looking at 6, here you're looking at 5, and to have 40% of the cards...

I wish... Gust effects are stupid, it makes retreating innocuous, when it should be a much more relevant part of the game. The best format I have played is PTCGO's legacy, and gust is pratically non-existing there, and it's one of the reasons the format is so good.

I'd go way beyond that. This card will be for lightning types what Welder was for fire types, in the sense that, for the entire period that the card is legal, all lightning cards will have it's viability and power level analyzed in the context that this card exists. I think it will be that huge.

Apparently it has, which is completely beyond me, such an absolute waste. Also, if it has to be all the same, why in hell was bench barrier the one effect chosen for this? It seems so random. Absolutely beyond me why they did that instead of having each card have an individual trait.
