'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

Well, I didn't see this coming. On its own, it's not that great, but I'll need to see the new regular Beeheyem to make final judgment. Don't forget, the BREAK is only half the battle, and the regular guy could have some energy acceleration ability. I am just assuming there will be a Beeheyem in...

I can't be the only one who misses side-ponytail Misty, right?

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

Yes - that is my guess, and probably another reason they printed the cards horizontally. Also, with Golduck Break, if it was the only thing you had active (through Archie), all you would have is an ability and no way to attack or do anything.

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

I don't think they will function together, as it seems to be explicit that you must place a BREAK card over its namesake in order for it to be valid (like a 2-piece puzzle, they work together). This is my guess, at least.

Five Zygarde Formes, Including Zygarde Perfect Forme, Revealed in 'CoroCoro!'

With the ideas being presented about Norse mythology, it makes me wonder if (assuming this turns out to be true), there will be a Nordic region opened above/around Kalos (like Scandinavia or perhaps Germany-equivalent since it would be closer) in the next game. In my heart, I had really hoped...

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

I wonder why the artist chose to depict the red version [again] of Florges, instead of blue, orange, yellow, white...

I think Deep Curse might be a euphemism for the f-bomb. How dare you Mismagius!

That's exactly what I was thinking...much of the artwork in this set so far really misses the mark...and quite a few almost seem like bootleg-grade illustrations.

Speculation "Flowers" Given as Clue for Pokemon's Future

I bet it's all about Floaroma Town. I remember someone in one of the games saying something like "let pretty flowers fill the world." (forget the exact quote and game). I am sure neither of these has anything to do with what he's talking about...but I hope 2016 isn't another letdown.

    I'd say Mega Bellossom myself.

I hope the reveal M/Aerodactyl EX and M/Mawile soon...I wonder if they will try to one-up themselves with over-the-top damage output possibilities.

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

The artwork on the Mewtwo-EX kind of looks like someone trying to emulate an [ersatz] Akira Toriyama style. As far at the underwhelming attacks, I think this card's point is probably just going to be to unleash a Mega Mewtwo. All-around, it goes on the frowny face side.

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

With Vanilluxe's first attack (Shivering Press), will the effect (not using trainers/stadiums) still be on you if the opponent KOs Vanilluxe in his or her turn directly after Shivering Press is used? I am trying to think of a precedent of an effect existing after the Pokemon that "created" it is...

He's not eating the text, he's cryomouthing it. Also, the attack name, particularly as it appears on the card, makes it seem like they are making fun of him for whining (cry as in sob/tears versus cryo as in cold/frozen). "I bet you'll go tell mom and dad, you stupid cryomouth!"

For the record, I think the Useless-EX title is already taken by Emolga-EX.

Thanks for sharing the news and translations! I try not to post anything (too) negative here, but the artwork for that Chestnaught (not the Break, but the regular) is super janky.

I am also interested to see what kinds of supporters, stadiums, and moves there will be that will interact with Break Evolutions (I am just assuming there will be - like there were for Plasma Pokemon and are for EX Pokemon...though I will note there are none for Ancient Trait Pokemon, so there...

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

Interesting attack for Chestnaught Break...considering the damage it has to take with the attack, I might play it with XY's Chestnaught to use the healing move periodically. The new Chestnaught looks pretty decent, too. I will say, however, that for a stage 3 (essentially) with a pretty high...

'Blue Impact' / 'Red Flash' Japan's XY8 Sets, Next Set Block Titled 'XY: BREAK!'

I am glad to finally know what the new mechanic is - thanks for sharing it - I remember there were a few people who suspected it would be like level X Pokemon. I will say, though, while I think it's a very interesting new (to XY) mechanic and I'm looking forward to trying them all, I don't feel...
