    Standard Tsareena Lockdown

I think we need to be trying for a first turn lock as opposed to trying to set it up through an attack. Also, despite my boundless enthusiasm, I would advise against trying to make this work in standard on the grounds that decidueye/plume outclasses it.

sure let's try it! Which sableye are we talking about? (I assume junk hunt)

    Standard Typhlosion/Talonflame (2017 Rotation)

I would strongly advise against the burning energy as, although they have only 1 drawback, the benefit is almost completely negligible. swan

    Standard Typhlosion/Talonflame (2017 Rotation)

I personally don't believe this statement. Maxie's marowak is enough to do the job against item lock. Both Treve and plume are not highly consistent at first turn locking us in their respective decks (treve needs wally and plume isn't as consistent as it could be in decidueye lists for obvious...

    Standard New Deck Creation

Don't worry about it man; I haven't played any Mgardevoir recently, but like I said before; it's not like anyone would pm me on the matter anyway. :) Classic golduck shenanigans going on I see.

    Standard New Deck Creation

As Asmer has effectively invited people to pm me on the subject of M gardevoir-EX, I suppose I'll have to allow it. Not that it matters anyway as this thread fell off of the first page of deck garage long ago so there's probably a very limited number of people who will even read this. More to...

    Standard New Deck Creation

I'm confused as to how umbreon and espeon-GX are good stand-alone attackers? If a lunala or solgaleo (or other stage 2 (not grass type)) player wants to avoid N, just don't rely so much on talonflame -> candy: play more stage 1.

I'd like to add talonflame break as a hilarious deck to beat decidueye-GX/plume with!

Standard First deck submission. Mega Rayquaza.

In short, stardust jirachi, but I think I need to explain the difficulties that Mrayquaza faces in a little more detail: There are 7 pokemon that can stop Mrayquaza: 1) Carbink (mew EVO in case anyone was going to call me out on it) 2) Regice (blocks EX damage for [W][C][C]) 3) Glaceon-EX...

Standard First deck submission. Mega Rayquaza.

Mb, assumed it was a bad attempt at a decidueye counter lmao. The volcanion-EX is very cute! However, I think Magearna is more beneficial to the deck: If you want a discard outlet play another syacmore (or 2 if you're feeling eccentric!). @MoFoTY86 Personally prefere 1 rod 1 brock over 2 rods...

Standard First deck submission. Mega Rayquaza.

I'd like to add that skyla, as mentioned above, is better than puzzle of time for recovering from parallel city while taking up fewer deck slots and is easier to find after an N than 2 puzzles. Also, I believe that Magearna is the best type partner as stardust jirachi is a more common problem...

Standard First deck submission. Mega Rayquaza.

    1. why the heck is there a volcanion-EX?!? 2. you need more than just 2 sycas and 1 N as draw supporters, you have more dead vs seekers than draw supporters. Even cut a vs seeker for a sycamore if you have to. 3 is too low, even for a 4 shaymin deck. 3. puzzle of time is a trade-off. It makes...

would it help if I had said vespiquen??

    Standard Gardevoir EX (Budget)

How do we deal with MUs like passimian? Surely it's a matchup where a 2nd lysandre would be crucial over Hex maniac or something. (Gardevoir-EX > giratina-EX) Also, isn't exp. share very important into the lategame?

    Standard Gardevoir EX (Budget)

Um, can we please not do the Darkrai/dragons --- Xerneas break comparisons, it takes far too long :) Also you only added 1 elxir, I think perhaps you misread my original list. I understand why you've gone more to maximising dce and elixir; I meant to imply earlier that my reason for not playing...

    Standard Gardevoir EX (Budget)

Thanks for the somewhat rushed reply: The wobbufet only exists for specific matchups e.g. decidueye/plume which is a 50-50 matchup. (Lurantis/plume is an autowin if anyone is still playing it). I started with 2 wobbs but realised that you don't need him in a lot of MUs and after testing those he...

    Standard Gardevoir EX (Budget)

I don't see why we need sky field. Setting up 4 at once is psuedo impossible (1 out of 8 being prized is pretty likely). I have no idea where you are going with the Steam siege gardevoir: Try to solve a cards problems while making a deck around it; don't give it more problems. I mean apart from...

    Standard Gardevoir EX (Budget)

Actually, tauros-GX doesn't help the decks strategy at all, full stop. Yeah, xern/dragons doesn't work; There is no synergy, you might aswell just play a bland xern B deck with dces in it. Actually, getting and keeping energy is not the problem for xerneas break: Problem 1) Having a "brittle...

    Standard Gardevoir EX (Budget)

As I said, I've been trying to compile sufficient evidence to convince myself that xerneas break doesn't need to be in a gardevoir deck and can find better matchups across the board without gardevoir. So I am very appreciative of all the knowledge that you can impart to me on the subject. :)

Yeah, I was just asking because I've been testing XB and come to the point where I'm wondering how much of an edge it has over Ba-M gardevoir. The decidueyeplume matchup is definately one where I'd rather play XB. (MU is a 50-50). I play a wobbufet which is, quite frankly, amazing! I wonder if...
