If this is your first time with Japanese high class sets, they are mostly reprints. Iron Valiant and Iron Crown are confirmed to be in the set already and then from SV3a-SV7 there are cards like Scream Tail, Sandy Shocks, Cornerstone Ogerpon, Iron Boulder etc

They are different rarities, so of course people will feel the reduction in hits. Dumb from JP and if it's compounded in ENG, which is looking likely, it's also dumb.

I think they are English/international exclusive. Both Greninja ex and Kingambit were cards that would not have traditionally been reprinted in this year's EOY set. Neither are playable, so there is no reason to reprint them in JP, especially even further into the future. They might/will...

There are 92 new cards actually excluding the 18 supporters.

Just looking at the numbering between ENG and JP. 187 main set + 12 supporters (ENG press release) + Leafeon + Ogerpon - there's no space for ARs where they would traditionally be. ENG also removed any mention of illustration rares.

Raging Bolt ex and Gouging Fire ex were revealed today for JP.

No ARs is disappointing. Peak JP seems to have been VMAX Climax and VSTAR Universe. Looks like they don't have the budget to cover Pocket and their actual TCG. Sad.

Do we? If Kilowattrel ex is in, then most likely Roto-Stick is in over Flamigo ex. The latter can be turned into an ex box, while trainer cards are always in the set.

Why do we think that TPCi's correction is not also wrong? There is no other random ex to take. I'd go with the previous 8 stellar + 9 ex. Ceru/Sylv + 3 in each of PD and SEB. 3 + 5 + Flamigo for the ex.

Kinda wild that you think Latias is disappointing and Archaludon which is basically an SR looks good as an SAR. Something for everyone I suppose but they really need to stop SR SARs. This is the 10th one this year after 4 Ogre, 4 in Night Wanderer, Galvantula and this.

They just aged poorly because fundamentally they are just CGI models on coloured backgrounds. And now that TPC has been doing them for over a decade, it's bulk trash and is priced as such. I don't think there's any other TCG that is as lazy as TPC honestly with these terrible CGI cards still...

People who are disappointed by this "dragon" set - first time? TPC rarely theme sets beyond a few Pokemon, some sets have titles centered around 1 Pokemon. This is not a special set, it's a normal expansion set. I'd say they've already exceeded expectations with at least 11 or 12 Dragon lines...

If they commissioned new art, they would sell out and make back their money in the first, what, 10 minutes? Now it's just junk that will lose money for LGS, distributors...it'll be sitting on shelves and in warehouses for years. Stupid product development team is even more stupid than...
