Personally, I can sorta see why they did it. Considering the fact that it is a remake, I'm assuming they wanted to make the gameplay feel as original, yet at the same time, as new as possible. Keeping the characters exactly the same is a good touch for nostalgic purposes if nothing else. Again...- Platinum26
