    Cinderace from Mega Brave!

huh, CES manectric if it was actually good. potentially worthwhile in some decks that like having energy on board like toedscruel or raging bolt but the specificity does make it a dubious prospect to where i don't think it'll see thaaaat much play. and obv you don't want it in decks that already...

Keldeo ex, Genesect ex, Swords of Justice, and Fossils Revealed from “Black Bolt” and “White Flare!”

Tirtouga is never getting a day 2 lol, imagine trying to play a fossil into Budew meta

    Hydrapple from “Heat Wave Arena”

Really really bad but really really funny card

    Furret from “Battle Partners” Revealed!

TCG Pocket called, they want their power level back. Cute art on the fullart tho.

    Tyranitar from Battle Partners!

This is pretty gud. Trevenant XY historically saw play and Tyranitar also puts your opponent under a time limit by milling them. I don't think it'll be as widespread as Trevenant was back in the day but a passive item floodgate will certainly see play

    Metagross from Battle Partners!

Not the most modern set, but EX Dragon Frontiers is a set where every Pokemon is a Delta Species for what it's worth Anyways this card is awful lmao, hoping we get more of the trainer's Pokemon revealed instead of this generic pack filler

Sunkern, Sunflora from “Mask of Change”

    Nice zard "counter"

    Chandelure from “Mask of Change”

Unfortunately still worse than LOR Chandelure. Main use case I could think of is maybe growing their hand and then using Eri to snipe important pieces like Rare Candy but that's too gimmicky

Volbeat, Illumise from “Mask of Change”

    RIP Bombirdier EX

Loyal Three, Kiernan, Carmine, and More Cards from “Mask of Change” Revealed!

I want to know who in their right mind thought a 230 HP 1 prizer with 2/3 for 170 was remotely okay

    Farigiraf from “Crimson Haze”

Theoretically can hit good damage and there are good stage 1s to pair alongside it, namely Xatu and Kirlia. But I'm not sold personally. This would be absolutely horrifying to play against if they reprinted Sky Field however

    Magcargo ex from “Crimson Haze”

It's not... horrible, honestly. With Codebreaker you hit 280 which OHKOs VSTARs, and with Max Belt you can straight up OHKO Zard too. It's not viable but I can at least see some merits to Magcargo compared to many other bad ex cards we've gotten

“Pokemon TCG Pocket” Immersive Collecting App Coming in 2024!

I'm actually eager to try it out and see how a new meta's like with a drastically lowered power level. Been theorycrafting stuff out of the limited pool and I can already tell from a mile away that Greninja's going to be the undisputed BDIF

Love Ball Revealed from “Crimson Haze!”

This would be legitimately good if the meta ever devolved into Zard v Zard since it's just a straight-up better Ultra Ball in those matchups. Otherwise though not great

Hero’s Cape ACE SPEC Revealed from “Cyber Judge!”

SV1 Drifloon and Scream Tail can use Luxurious Cape anyways, the combo has seen some competitive play, mainly Scream Tail in Gardevoir decks since it can bench snipe
