    The Set Rotation Discussion Thread

If they print some efficient pokemon and card draw, I'm sure we will have another dominant deck that everyone can complain about in a year. I <3 Professor Juniper.

    there's a storm brewing

Gothitelle would relegate Vileplume UD to the trash bin if it sees print as is. Gothitelle would then eat the whole planet earth in one gulp.

    LuxChomp [ Luxray GL Lv.X / Garchomp C Lv.X ]

Sweeping Vilegar can be easier with Dialga G Lv. X. I run a 2-2 Luxray GL now, because 3-1's slight advantage against Gyarados is too big a trade off as opposed to being able to consistently bright look to interrupt an evolution chain. If you hit Gastly or Haunter, the Vileplume is mostly useless.

    Should Worlds 2011 Be Cancelled?

Give the top Japanese players the travel award, bring their top rated to San Diego, then we can battle it out with everyone there to determine who is the best.

A View on SP from the average player...

The format went into SP's favor once Claydol was gone. Relying on Uxie made Power Spray a lot better. A lot of decks slowly faded out or became unplayable without Claydol. You can argue how good/bad or indifferent SP is until you're blue in the face, that doesn't change the fact that if you show...

A View on SP from the average player...

Garchomp C Lv. X has several ways to re-use Dragon Rush in consecutive turns. Retreat the Garchomp, bring up an SP and Poke Turn the active, attach DCE, hit another pokemon. Warp Point and Warp Energy also. Any of the above along with Bronzong G moving an energy. The reason Garchomp C rose to...

A View on SP from the average player...

Last season with Claydol, SP wasn't anywhere near ever present in the meta. People complain about the SP trainer engine, but there have been more powerful supporters (e.g Castaway) during the EX era. I think its normal for people to complain about whatever wins. SP decks, especially mirror...

    The Set Rotation Discussion Thread

Gardevoir Gallade got a 3 year stint, and I think people had as much vitriol for GG than they do for SP, if not more so.

Why do people hate on droppers?

I'd rather clinch a Worlds invite, than win a States etc. Think of it as me tanking the rating boost and handing you the prizes. I obviously don't need cards at this point. This is very much a volatile topic.

    The Set Rotation Discussion Thread

Trading SP dominance for Lostgar dominance is still bad for the game in general. I wouldn't be surprised if they cut the last 3 DP sets and then rotated all of PT block at once next year to make it HGSS-on. There are too many people deeply invested in PT block cards to cut it straight to HGSS...

Why is Arceus having success at BR's

So much for everyone worrying about a shift in the metagame when that stadium was announced. I recommend any playtesting circle to add an Arceus deck. Playing it and understanding it might be important when CC comes around.

    DialgaChomp */~BATTLE ROAD DOMINATION!!!!!!~\*

RE: DialgaChomp */~BATTLE ROAD DOMINATION!!~\* I had no problem with Vilegar during Autumn BR's. The deck's hype far exceeded its ability to win tournaments in our area.

    LuxChomp [ Luxray GL Lv.X / Garchomp C Lv.X ]

Crobat G's Toxic Fang attack works wonders against Scizor in the same manner as Donphan. I personally prefer Blaziken FB because it is strong against opposing Dialga Gs, Scizor and annoying pokemon like Vileplume. If you run Communcations (like I do in my list) being able to use them in a...

Why is Arceus having success at BR's

Arceus can (and frequently does) beat the current format's top decks. Player skill determines whether or not you succeed. The plays and techs are there. I firmly believe that Arceus and Dialga G SP are the two most skill intensive decks. Most of your matches are 50/50, a solid opening and some...

    Gyarados..

I think Gengar Prime will enjoy the random beatings from the SP decks before it could even get to Gyarados honestly. I still run 2 Volkner's in my list, as well as Banette PL, Chansey Prime and Luxray GL. Of course, my techs are to fit my meta and are not indicative of what people are playing...

Does the rise of Trainer Locks signal the death of SP Domination?

I teched Dialga G Lv.X in a Luxchomp list and Vilegar couldn't really do anything about it, even if it level downed Dialga, I had already used my trainers so my hand was usually empty except for maybe a lone supporter. Running Dialgachomp, I increased my supporter count and with special metal...

    DialgaChomp [ Dialga G Lv.X / Garchomp C Lv.X ]

You should try to keep Machamp down by sniping Machops etc. ToxiTank is the foolproof way to not give up prizes. Flygon Lv.X is double weak to Garchomp C Lv.X. I love Flygon to death but being x2 weak to Colorless when Garchomp C is a two third majority in the current format makes me sadface...
