There aren't any formations in Japan that have the "m" shape of Isshu and are still big enough to be recognized as an actual region, though. And there's far too much going on on the map we have now for it only to be a small portion of the map. Edit: I say we form a team to search the entire map...

I'm not sure where, but it was said quite a long time ago that Isshu is "very far away" Also, I doubt the map we have now is the full map. Three of the four sides are open land to other regions? Boring.

I'd guess that it's a key, like someone said before. It just has that feel to it. Also, perhaps N is actually forming a "criminal organization" (whereas in all other regions they're already fully active) to help him. The symbol on his necklace-thing intrigues me.

Yeah, but they're slowly building hype. As it approaches, we'll probably begin to get updates every day. Plus, wouldn't it be a nice surprise (at least for the people who get the Japanese version of the game) if not everyone was revealed beforehand?
