I think the ones with the fat-in-the-center S are preliminary images. That same Seadra has a "normal" S on Pkmncards.com and PTCGL: (Some cards with the other font do slip through the cracks, like Skarmory TWM 119, but the version that actually went to print is correct, judging by Ebay listings.)

Look, I'd love to see more variety in medium, too, but these artists put huge amounts of time and talent into their entries. Using a stylus instead of a brush or pen doesn't make it slop.

Are you talking about the "Team Rocket Strikes Again!" logo? That's over a year old, and someone's already taken credit for that, showing a high quality image of the logo as proof.

WPM has reported on them before, but a lot of those Costco exclusives are just existing retail products shrinkwrapped together, with absolutely nothing new. This Sam's Club bundle has bespoke packaging/branding and an exclusive jumbo Rayquaza V.
