    Discussion New Cynthia Draw Supporter

I'm so glad this card is coming out, like literally jumping out of my seat haha. Cynthia is great for the game, as standard lacks consistency right now with VS Seeker rotated. Reason being, getting N'd to 1-4 can easily leave you with no supporter outs. Running 4 N 4 Sycamore 2 Cynthia will go...

    Discussion Counter Energy/Catcher

Of the 2, I expect counter energy to make much more a splash. I've been testing out counter catcher right now, and it's been pretty underwhelming. Either I draw it early game where it's a dead card, or I discard it with Sycamore and it's a dead card, or I draw it when I can use it but it's not...

PokeBeach’s October 2017 PTCGO Tournament, Sponsored by TCGplayer.com!

Round 5, @Blue_Horizon wins 2-0 vs @TheCraftyScot. Unfortunate draws, but game 2 was interesting at least. All the best for the rest of the tournament!

PokeBeach’s October 2017 PTCGO Tournament, Sponsored by TCGplayer.com!

@Blue_Horizon wins 2-1 against @Makeda87 . Super tight games, especially the last one coming down to me having 0 cards in deck to win haha! Good luck for the rest of the tournament :)

News New Solgaleo-GX and Lunala-GX in November Starter Set!

Solgaleo is busted, really like the card a lot. It's easily splashable in existing Solgaleo/Rayquaza decks and you can potentially cut Rayquaza altogether. I can also see this teched into Metagross to solve it's fire matchup. As for it being the end of Gardevoir, it's too soon to say for sure...

    Discussion Mewtwo GX

Mewtwo has really forgettable attacks, apart from the excellent GX attack. Being able to hit 230 with a band and have no drawbacks is quite nice, as it allows it to one-shot common threats like Golisopod GX and Gardevoir GX. But the problem is that it's not really splashable in any deck right...

Discussion This Format is nuts because of Lele

Buying 2-3 Lele is just a necessary evil in the current format, and yes it is very unforgiving for new players. I recommend if you are new to the game, don't buy booster boxes and use that money for Lele instead. Otherwise, the main option you have is to play Greninja, but even that deck has...

    (1) All BW9 ‘Megalo-Cannon’ + ‘Blastoise + Kyurem-EX Combo Deck’ Scans and Translations! [3/13]

Lots of great grass support this set, with Virizion EX and Genesect EX being the main ones. Really liking the new tools, should help the non-ex's compete a bit more, and it makes bouffer bouffalant amazing. Cradily is the other one that caught my eye, as it seems to be like Garchomp LV.X in that...

    (2) BW8 Cards, Salamence Promo [11/20]

Where is the confusion about this? It says on the ability it discards all tools on your opponents pokemon, i.e. every tool they have in play is discarded. Really like the Chandelure and Flareon, and now plasma have their own version of Aaron's Collection. I'm guessing you can get back plasma...

    (1) Landorus-EX, Black Kyurem-EX, and White Kyurem-EX from Boundaries Crossed [9/13]

It would seem Pokebeach got the translation wrong for Black Kyurem EX, as nowhere on the 2nd attack does it mention not being able to use Freeze Bolt/Shock next turn, only that 'this pokemon cannot attack next turn'. I'd go with TPCi's translation for this one...

    Dragon selection???

It may not be game changing, but it definitely has a place in the metagame now, being a good counter to Garchomp/Altaria with the first attack one-shotting so many things, and the second attack being a good answer to Rayquaza EX for eels.
  16. Blue_Horizon

    Dragon selection???

Main reason people want it is due to the easier to obtain Rayquaza. Atm, it is ridiculously expensive, and won't come down unless the promo one is released.

    (1) The Full Arts, EX's, and Shiny Pokemon of BW6 [7/10]

What do you mean? Town map is pretty good, as it removes the need to write down prizes like with azelf and alph lithograph. Admittedly it allows your opponent to see what prize you take, but that can be ignored by how powerful the card is. Also bicycle is interesting, as it is a trainer. We...

Post - Next Destinies = SP Format 3.0?

What's the correct translation for Shaymin EX? If it's bulbapedia's where it does 30 + 30 if they took a prize last turn it is pretty horrible. However, if it's like pokebeach's where it is 30 + (30x number of prizes they've taken) then it is a great revenge card, better than terrakion even.

    DCL in Blastoise

Yeah I agree with Celebi in that fitting in zoroark just hurts the decks consistancy and I'd rather just take the auto-loss against zekrom. Also, they may get horrible starts, and with kyurem, the matchup is winnable at times. You just need to take out 2 or so zekroms and deprive them of...

    Cheren vs. Sage's Training

There's nothing bad about good rod, you get a card back either way. Just because you consider it a bad card doesn't mean it is.
