    (1) ALL ‘Boundaries Crossed’ Scans! [10/20-10/28]

Overall, the set doesn't look too appealing to me. I wish it was though, at least it would warrant me buying a box like I have for all the BW sets. The only playables are frankly just some of the EXes and Blastoise. Maybe Stoutland or Dusknoir, that's about it. A little disappointed, no doubt...

    Ball Engine - Viability pre- & post-rotation.

Hello everyone, with the release of Dark Explorers we finally get to know what could possibly be the cards in the format for Nationals (and possibly Worlds?). The distinct engine which has been gently sprouting since BW was released is the return of a Ball engine. Below are the listed cards we...

    The Mewtwo EX/Eelektrik/Zekrom Discussion Thread

I was not in any way referring to your comments by the way. I was just commenting on Terrakion not being a staple in winning lists. As for DEX, we won't know for sure how a card is going to impact a format before the format even exists. We won't know how popular all the cards in the list up...

    The Mewtwo EX/Eelektrik/Zekrom Discussion Thread

4 DCEs, at least 2 PPs for me. Its the game-breaker in my opinion. Compared to Terrakion as a 3 or 4 card tech, I rather add consistency or other techs which can be used in more than one match up. Almost all (if not all) winning lists did not run any Bulls, and while some did I'm sure they did...

    The Mewtwo EX/Eelektrik/Zekrom Discussion Thread

That really depends on how much Tornadus EX is seen in the first place. An EX with Lightning weakness is something to ponder in a yellow-filled meta. Though I don't mind seeing it in a ZekEels as an anti-Fighting tech though.

Deck to the future! Ko'ing Rayquaza for 1 energy!

I think its still very subjective to say which is faster, a Stage 2 with one energy cost attack or a Basic with three. We won't quite know what the format will be in the first place anyway. I do agree however that going first will become even more important now (can it get any more vital?). The...

    The Mewtwo EX/Eelektrik/Zekrom Discussion Thread

I'd run both if I could, but I'll go for Super Rod. I use Sage's up to a few weeks after States but now figure I will drop it as well for PONT instead. With Ultra Ball comes out that's another way to dump Lightning into the discard anyway.

    The Mewtwo EX/Eelektrik/Zekrom Discussion Thread

Here in Malaysia the standard practice among the experienced players is 3 Mewtwos. I personally run 2 but oftentimes I find myself lacking that extra one especially when having to engage in the Mewtwo wars early on. And I agree with the notion of Super Rod. It doesn't get you what you need right...

    (3) DE Cards + Prerelease Goodies, July's Japanese Sets, Forces of Nature [4/17]

Just weeks away from the format that would most probably shape Nationals and Worlds. Loving the artwork on the EXes, though Raikou's Volt Bolt attack sounds rather...unique. :D

    Mismagius Play?

I tried it out with Vileplume in a Truth-styled deck months ago, didn't work so well because I had a Reuniclus line in it for the higher HP tanks, but now with Mewtwo EX in the format Mismagius-Vileplume can really work I reckon. Just needs a tank to help it out with the other matchups.

    Raikou EX

My pointers on Raikou EX: Better sniper than Zapdos, although Zapdos does a more efficient job if its in the early game. Better Eel-killer through sniping, significantly better WITH Catcher by pulling one Eel active while sniping another. Better retreat cost than both Zekrom EX and Zekrom...

    The Mewtwo EX/Eelektrik/Zekrom Discussion Thread

Does Kyurem even see play anymore? I can't think of any deck that could use Kyurem aside from 'Trode or maybe The Truth (as an Outrage-r or spreader). I personally run more 40HP Tynamos anyway since I use SAB and Smeargle so I don't quite see Kyurem as a trouble maker. Just a personal point of view.

Possible Deck Archetypes coming out of the new Dragon Sets?

^ Cloak and Scarf are the Tools that make the snipe not as effective as theorized. Either waste the energy to KO Garbodor which can then be rescued, or snipe it without KO-ing it. Garbodor-Zebstrika seems like a deck worth trying even if its just theorymon right now.

    (1) BW5 'Dragon Blade' and 'Dragon Blast' Scans! [3/14]

Garbodor+Large Cloak and it stays out of Raikou EX sniping range. Burning a Catcher just to get this fella out of the field seems a good trade off, but one turn of no Dynamotor, Inferno Fandango, or any other Ability will be cruel on decks. Sigilyph, we've been waiting for you. Terrakion EX...

    Too poor for mewtwo EX

You could go for a google variant centered around Regi and Kyurem EX. Drop in some Cobalions and Terrakions for the meta-call and you have a deck which is pretty slow and techy but at least you're not getting OHKO-ed each turn.

    The Truth (Reuniclus/Vileplume/Attackers) Discussion Thread

I think Tropical Beach will be a hard play now that SAB is getting rampant. Not saying stadium wars will be back but running counter stadiums would be very much common if SAB becomes more vital to certain top decks. I personally don't have Beach but a 4/4 Sages/Twins line with some Junipers...

    Zapdos ND in ZekEels?

ZekEels could run it, but vying for its spot would be Tornadus, since they both are quite good early game, Zapdos providing a snipe or Tornadus a decent amount of damage. Up to preference really.

    Pachirisu (CL18) [2/10/2012]

A card that has seen better days. When I first pulled it from my CoL booster box I thought it was nothing more than a useless holo rare like the rest of the box. Little did I know it was part of a quartet of the most feared donking combo I've seen in the past year. Hasn't seen much play recently...
