I'm debating whether to go to a tournament before or after the first XY base set comes out. The format is dicey as it is right now, so I am not sure exactly what to do. I'm saving for an XY booster box when it comes out. I am skipping Legendary Treasures just for that reason.

Torkoal from Dark Explorers isn't half bad. You could attach a fire energy one turn and unsuspectingly attach a double colorless energy and a silver bangle to do fire blast on Genesect / Virizion EX for a total of 180 damage!

I am just wondering where most of the Pokemon TCG fan base is at in the states. I live in Florida and, unfortunately, I don't think the fan based is as big here as California or Texas. Any thoughts?
