DjDjinn said:You may find it in some theaters actually. A cinimark in Strongsville Ohio has one to two night engagements of anime films. They've played the live action Death Note film and Bleach Memories of Nobody. It's plausible that the 11th pokemon movie may be shown. Or at least I'm hoping.

Was the host of the event.
am very sorry the states don't make as much effort, but pokemon is not pathetic, and they ARE making a huge effort to keep older fans. I had another article WPM didn't post (yet?) with photos from the pokemon center here, showing tons of adults and teenagers waiting around to battle and buy goods, on some random tuesday! pokemon is now plastered all over eight bullet trains and also airplanes! pokemon is very, very beloved and I think everyone ought to be excited that america and other countries ARE slowly starting to get back into it (burger king promotion, more jakks goods, arcade prizes, etc...).

They aren't really that riveting of story telling and even a limited release won't get a whole lot of money. The last Pokemon movie they even released in a local theater was the 3rd, and I honestly think that was the last one I even enjoyed, on a kids movie level at that.

No they showed movies here up until the 6th movie came out

Maine State Champion? That far from Portland? Are you from The County?
I'd have to travel two hours from school or twenty minutes from my parents' house. While the latter isn't too far, things get far away quick in many parts of the country.
While it'd be nice to see another theatrical release, I'd also just be happy with just seeing PUSA actually try this time with the DVD release. As has been said, they'd do well to understand that a good chunk of their fanbase is getting older, and might be interested in having the Japanese track available to them. It's no trouble at all to add another language track to a DVD, especially if the movie is uncut from the original film.
Pokémon in Japan has been managed in a way that acknowledges older fans. They get products like the "151" line of clothing. The United States, for whatever reason, refuses to believe that anybody over the age of 12 can enjoy Pokémon.
Kind of sad, innit?
yeah they only showed up to movie 3 here. i remember that they played the 4th movie in theaters but it was a limited release or something. it was only showed in DC, about 2 hours from here.No they showed movies here up until the 6th movie came out
it is sad...pokemon is like 12 years old and when kids started to like pokemon back then, they ranged from 5-15 year-olds. those 5-15 year olds are now 17-27 years old now...sure pokemon has gained some younger fans over the years but most of the in depth fans are older fans...Pokémon in Japan has been managed in a way that acknowledges older fans.
