(1) 15th Anniversary of the TCG, Venusaur from 'Dark Rush' Revealed [10/20]

dude, what are you talking about? The new Venusaur it's not a reprint...

I tought on the site it said it was a reprint. That explains the ability. I must have gotten confused by the fact that a ew Venasaur is being made because of the old one 15 years ago.

QUICK SEARCH POKEMON STYLE GOGOGO

I love that Ability. Really awesome. It's just a shame it's on a big fat hog like Venusaur in a Catcher Format.

dmaster out.

That Venusaur card look pretty cool. It looks like the promo the gave away when the TCG game came out for Game Boy. When you ordered the players guide you got the promo card and it looks like that card except for the move set. That card did 100 damage but forgot what move it has though.:)

Funny back when TCG was first out something like Venusaur was awesome just cause it was a card and we (most of us) were kids back then. Now with how far along the TCG has come it's all about playability I'm not saying it's bad but doesn't anyone remember simpler times? Back then it was "Gotta catch em all" I was part of the success of Pokemon in the US. Loved the game and all aspects of it since September 1998.

Sure they do. Watch beginners to the card game nowadays. They're much like when you were a beginner. (Unless you came in through a hardcore competitive player. Then you don't count.) You see a lot of discussion about top-level play here because this place is mostly populated by tournament players--that is, the Spikes. The beginners to the TCG don't come to this site as they're not interested in what people talk about here.

The other thing is that Nintendo of America downplayed "Gotta catch 'em all!" from the 3rd-generation and onwards, as they know it gets increasingly hard to accomplish that task. Instead, with all the VGCs, Wi-Fi tournaments going on now and planned for the future, and promo Pokémon (for the video games) given out with valuable moves, Nintendo and Game Freak have been encouraging video game players to battle rather than collect, which is what kids now are doing.

Damn, once Dark Rush is released, we will be so far Japan in terms of card pool! TPCi better keep all the HB/PD cards in our Feb set.

I'm liking the Venusaur, but it seems to be made for a BW~ format, so probably won't see much play (if any) until we rotate to that.
