(1) 15th Anniversary of the TCG, Venusaur from 'Dark Rush' Revealed [10/20]

It's always awesome to see a classic Pokemon like Venusaur be printed again. I like the ability it has but it's not really worth it because it's on a stage 2, has a lousy attack, and a retreat cost of 4. It's a pretty cool card nonetheless. Lets hope they make Charizard and Blastoise for this set too. ^.^

Interesting ability, but as of right now there's quicker ways to search out pokemon. Who knows, maybe there are some cards in Dark Rush it'll work well with.

Yeah, the card looks good but it's Catcher bait... Still, it's nice to see Venusaur in BW but I'm afraid that the other 2 kanto starters won't be in Dark Rush... I mean, we know Piplup will be in the set, so Empoleon will be too. I don't think they would spam the set with all starters from Kanto and Sinnoh... I think they will combine starters from various regions (kinda like they did in the platinum sets)...
Anyway... It's been a lot of time since the beginning of the TCG... I don't really have a lot of memories from that time cuz I never really played in tournaments and didn't have a lot of cards back then. Still, I used to play alone as a kid with the few cards I had and I was most of the time doing something with the cards... Now I have a lot of cards, but since I want to keep them mint, I just have them in binders and I just checked them whenever I feel nostalgic (I have a binder with only the classic sets, most of them almost completed)...

It's cool to see a card like Venusaur printed, but it's not playable right now. Catcher bait, and Sunflora outclasses it.

Ah, now if only it was like Beedrill GE and RR combined. THAT would be fun, especially if BTS was in the format...

It's awesome! I can see Charizard and Blastoise reprints in the set too. Dark Rush is the set after the 15th Anniversary of the TCG, so Charizard and Blastoise will probably be in the set. Charizard was really strong, so it would be a great card. It would also be the 2nd reprint of that Charizard, the 1st in DP Stormfront.

That looks like the cheap CGI they used for the American TCG commercials.

They're out of business now--they finished Drawn Together and folded.

dude, what are you talking about? The new Venusaur it's not a reprint...

All I can say about the Venusaur: Sunflora is cooler. That is all.

EDIT: Yes, I know it's for A pokemon, not just a grass type. If you don't quite understand why I said what I said, Look to the left of this post.

OK, I just reread Venusaur. I thought it takes only Grass Pokemon from the deck, but it's really any Pokemon.

Alright, that does make Venusuar much better, but still isn't really playable due to Catcher problems.

I like the Venusaur, it is nice to see us getting some old school Pokémon for a change. I don't think the Venasaur will see too much competitive play though, a four retreat does it no favors, its attack is pretty bad, and it is a Stage 2. It has an excellent power, but I think the cons outweigh the pros of the card.

Venusaur is going to be its own deck, if run at all. Its stats really don't allow it to be a tech.
I don't know if it'll be a particularly good deck, but I wouldn't doubt it.

yay Venusaur as for my tcg memories or how ever it's spelled they sucked i only won one pre realease and not one event after i moved to texas i quit playing the tcg and now i play the video game
