(1) Black & White UltraPRO Playmat this September [8/3]

RE: (1) Black & White UltraPRO Playmat this September [8/3]

I think the mat looks really cool and personally I would buy one just for kicks but IMO it seems a little expensive at $18.99, I was hoping somewhere around $14.99

Ultra Pro making playmats is pure awesome. The art isn't amazing or anything, but it's definitely not bad. Not sure if I would buy it with my own money considering I don't care much for playmats but I might trade for one if I was given the opportunity.

Whoa! Very cool! I like the plainness. Not too much going on, but simply awesome. Can't wait for some new ones!

If it's the rubber one then it's worth buying. Even though I have some rubber playmats, getting that is good for collection.

Dislike how there's a background of Reshiram behind Reshiram, but not for Zekrom. (There is, but it's so faint it may as well not be there..)

Otherwise, awesome- I'd enjoy me a few Playmats in the future.

finally they will put them out in stores! Now they should have those in store and the exclusive ones to win from tournaments.

...yay, another thing for kids to be wasting money on.
Of course, if the super pros buy the mat and actually use it like it's supposed to, then I'm not complaining. Just don't put it out there for the parents to waste 20 bucks on their little kid.

I think it's great they finally gave us exclusive playmats to purchase. I've long said TCPi should make and sell them. There is a ready market.

However, I do agree with thefleeeee, $14.99 is/should be the sweet spot for price. Anything higher is a money grab IMO.

Now, if they could just diversify ... (sigh)

It's not ugly, but normally playmats are either very expressively or very simply styled. This one is a bit in between. Two pictures with not very striking poses. I think I like minimalist mats better, like the Professor one. If they used the poses of Zekrom and Reshiram from the promos I've seen, then it would be more pleasing, I think.

I wish they would just release the wallpapers from the official Pokemon site as playmats, some of those are really nice.

Still, I'll probably get this one as it's the only one i've seen for retail :(

Why are they not releasing the playmat in issues of Nintendo Power like they have done in the past? I have noticed since TPC took over from WoC They have not released playmats or even Pokemon posters of the generation Pokemon. They have not released a poster of the Pokemon since the original GS games came out. I am trying to figure out why TPC (The Pokemon Company) is not following the code and releasing these things with Nintendo. It would make more sense if they did since Nintendo and Pokemon are now merged under the exact same roof now. Why sell it for $20.00 when you get it for free in Nintendo Power but you pay for it in advance. Just does not make any sense.:)

Well, at least they released one for retail. I've been waiting for this forever because I have awful luck in raffles. :/

I have to admit, I think the design is too plain, but at least it's a start. We can't exactly expect perfect images right off, can we? And everyone has their own individual tastes. But I'm just glad they're releasing them for retail now.

Just to clarify, these are in fact the high quality rubber ones, not cheap paper ones.

Now that we have playmats, are there any news as to what the Trainer Kit contains due to its release today.

That's nice to hear, especially after the Pikachu World Championships one was released (and turned out to be yummy paper). ._.

This is awesome. High quality, cheaper than the ones that are out right now like Poke Ball/Great Ball/Ultra Ball/Darkrai/HG/SS. The pictures could have more pizazz, but this is a step in the right direction. Hopefully they continue making them with more varied designs.

Old news? lol Oh yeah, could have meant the cards in them. My bad.

dmaster out.

^ maybe he was asking for card scans?

but I think we, as a community, should buy one of these mats. and hopefully, we will see alot more in the future. maybe the trio come november?

They seem pretty awesome, but I would say more around the 10.99 dollars side. Gamefreak paid the price for being too greedy with the DSI already.

so these mats are like the red Darkrai sillhouette mats that were released to members of the Professor program (friend gave me mine despite i am not in the professor program.)

...I'm pretty sure Gamefreak didn't make the DSi
