Looks like they're splitting up the HG/SS set as expected to accommodate for the Japanese Leafeon vs. Metagross Decks and the battle starter decks.Meaty said:1st post! Well at least we know they ARE having the LEGEND cards in this set, but why did it say that there were half a dozen (6) pokemon Prime when there should be at least 8?
Card Slinger J said:Seems like the "Trainer" card type isn't going to be changed to "Goods" like in Japan it seems. I'm a little concerned that the Pokemon Prime might make decks as expensive as ex's were back in the day (though of course back then I haven't gotten into the game yet until Diamond/Pearl: Majestic Dawn).
The release date wasOR old news so nothing new there...
Gliscor said:There is definately going to be a cut in the set. The HGSS translations page said that the Lugia and Ho-Oh were half sets, so I'm assuming both sets contain the same amount of cards. Unless I made a miscount, the Ho-Oh set had 71 cards total, and multiply that by two then you have 142 cards. I understand that the logo said at least 120 cards, but it seems to be more accurate saying at least 140 cards. Then, add the special booster set and you have 172 cards. My guess is that the Spring Set will be the battle starter set, and about 50 cards that were supposed to be from the HGSS set will be moved the the starter set.
EDIT: Why did I count of the page told us how many cards there were in each half set? It's actually 70 cards per half set, so that total (plus the special booster pack) is 170 cards.

viper.fox said:No I'm just shocked! They usually get Kouki Saito in to do art and his stuff is fab, but then they have the horrible american CGI artist jumping inbetween other sets (Arceus set anyone) and that's what I was expecting again XD
aqua said:I'm going to bet Crobat and Blissey were cut.
Simply because of the release Japanese promo's didn't include a Zubat or Happiny/Chansey. They just included the three starters, Mareep, Teddiursa, and Phanpy
masterryanx said:Yeah, Kawayoo is excellent, so I was caught off guard seeing such great art as well! I'd love that Ho-Oh on a playmat, make it happen TPCi!
Also, do we actually know that the Arceus and other packaging CGI was an American artist? Are they credited anywhere? I always thought the TCG pack art, good or bad, came from Japan.
