Raikou EX is going to be legal for Nats. Nice, I love that card. Man, the art on that Darkrai is amazing. Hopefully the rest of the packs will look that good. It looks like we are in for a good set, which is nice, because this set should be what the prize packs at Nats are.
 
Why was the latest article not posted with this? I assume this is all you're posting today because of the (1) in the title.
 
I really like the title, "Explorers" definitely fits the amount of the type far more than a "rush".

I wonder how long until we get "Explosion".
 
I am so glad to see Groudon and Kyogre in this set. It's not that I was going to use them anytime soon, but I love their artwork, so I'm going to have to pick up at least one of them when Dark Explorers is finally released.

Does anyone think Heatmor will be in this set? I assume so, since WPM said Dark Explorers is the English equivalent of the Japansese set Dark Rush.
 
I find it somewhat funny that the "X" in "Explorers" is huge and gold (just like the Next Destinies logo). I guess the Pokemon company was reallly trying to promote the whole "EX" thing this time. I bet most fans didn't understand the "EX" In "Next Destinies".
I really want that Entei-EX. If I don't pull it in a pack, I'm just going to get it online. I've done it a lot before, in fact I'm awaiting Zekrom-EX full art right now (My rule: If you want a card really bad that's not featured in merchandise, which I'm glad regular Zekrom-EX is, get it off the internet. Use a reliable site, though. Only trust ebay if the seller has about 100% positive feedback) Groudon-EX is nice too. If Entei-EX isn't in the set.....
I have a feeling a lot of EXs will be featured again. Next Destinies had 6, so....

2.Raikou-EX
3.Groudon-EX
4.Kyogre-EX
5.Entei-EX
6.Tornadus-EX

However, A North America could throw in another random surprise (Zekrom-EX and Reshiram-EX full art) and give us Thunderous-EX and Suicune-EX to complete the trios.

As far as theme decks go, if I get one (I'm not sure about it yet), it will be Zoroark.
 
Nah, I think this time they will stay faithful to the japanese release. They already confirmed Tornadus-EX (which was the only one that could be out of place - everyone was expecting Suicune-EX instead). Plus, there's not even a Suicune-EX confirmed in the next japanese set yet (And before anyone points this, only the full arts for Reshiram-EX and Zekrom-EX were exclusive)...
 
Glad they finally announced this, as it seemed to take a week or so longer than usual.

Although, that name... it's like the TCG is trying to make each new set name sound sillier and sillier.
 
Honestly, I'm expecting this set to be 'Meh.' Empoleon, Raikou EX and Darkrai EX are the only things worth grabbing. Heatmor maybe if Durant stays a problem. Honorable mentions have to go to Espeon and Accelgor. Also can't forget that Slowbro. <3
 
Aww YAY!!! I LOVE Empoleon (My first Pokemon VG-wise), so I can't wait to start collecting more Cards that feature him!

These set names though... They make me feel "dopey". :p I hope that THIS time at my prerelease that I get an EX or better. (Everyone BUT me ALWAYS gets an EX or better... >=( ) Back on the set- Darkrai's art is pretty cool, and it's pack art is AWESOME. I hope that this set doesn't dissapoint! :D
 
This set sounds pretty awesome. Hope I can get some new cards soon XD.:)
 
This is gonna be awesome! The new Zorua and Zoroark are great, and Empoleon is just sweet. :D Drawpower and heavy damage for one energy, all built in to a 140 hp stage 2? Yes, please. Also, the new Twist Mountain and Aerodactyl will be interesting, although gimmicky. I have mixed feelings on the Bad Team's Jimu and Sabu, I don't know if it will see that much play.
 
Can't wait for this set. I'm glad that Groudon will be hitting the scene, I really want him. I also love Dark Rush, so I'm probably buying a box of this. :)
Oh yeah, it will be awesome if the actual DR Zoroark is the one in the theme deck, because... Well, that thing's pretty good.

Overall, I'm super excited for this set!
 
The thing that makes me most happy about this set is that it'll be easier to complete than Next Destinies thanks to the lack of EX cards that match Mewtwo-EX's hype. ;)

Otherwise it's probably going to Dark Rush + Kyogre/Groudon-EX + cards from the Reshiram/Zekrom and Tornadus/Thundurus Decks which... yeah, isn't that exciting.
 
This will probably be a pretty good set. Darkrai EX, Raikou EX, and Empoleon will all make huge impacts on the format. It seems that Electric is going to rule for even more time with the editions of Ultra Ball and Raikou. Archeops wont be half bad either with Twist Mountain.
