(1) Movie 14's Dark Hero Revealed! [1/13]

What a cheap shot, not spoiling it, or anything by putting it on the poster.

kats of AAPF reports on twitter that according to corocoro, the movie's full title will be "victini and the dark hero zekrom", and this year you can also choose one of three pokemon from your pre-order ticket.
well. okay then. XD we should really wait for scans (just saying it before everyone else does) but yeah. AAPF doesn't report fake news.

Yeah, I saw that, but I also saw one which revealed the name of Kerudio as well as saying the Silhouette was in it and that it'd be properly revealed next month which is a bit more likely in my eyes to them randomly hiding Zekrom from the title.
Thing is, we may not find out until the official site updates tomorrow (When CoroCoro is out on the Saturday, they sometimes add the stuff the Friday) as Japan has been clamping down on everything as of late

Kats has never said anything about choosing a Pokemon from a pre-order ticket yet, but has mentioned it's likely the Muskedeers will be on them going by the teaser on Pokemon Smash last sunday. You need to remember as well that in March we have three decks coming out focusing on that trio as well, so it's still unknown if the Smash preview was referring to that.

Other news related to the animé: in yesterday's episode of Best Wishes, Ash's egg hatched into a Zuruggu (Scraggy). To celebrate this, Black and White players will be able to download Ash's Zuruggu to their games via Mystery Gift from January 28th to February 10th.

I'm not sure that you're assumptions about Zekrom being the dark hero are completely justified. First, the title is: 黒の英雄 with ゼクロン underneath it leaving it a little unclear. Let me make it clear, that I'm not saying the assumption is wrong, I'm just saying that the reasoning might not be justified. If it were Zekrom, the Dark Hero... or The Dark Hero, Zekrom... 黒の英雄のゼクロン... then it would be clear from the title alone.
In addition the phrasing below does not say "What's Zekrom's relationship to being the Dark Hero?"
It says "Dark Hero and Zekrom's relation is..." or might be translated as "What is the relationship of Dark Hero and Zekrom?"
Now, I'll admit that it will most likely turn out that Zekrom is the Dark Hero knowing the way Pokemon movies usually go, but the magazine article is trying to not suggest it outright.

Now, I'll admit that it will most likely turn out that Zekrom is the Dark Hero knowing the way Pokemon movies usually go, but the magazine article is trying to not suggest it outright.
None of the movie titles have used the possessive prefix (の) when they're referring to the feature Pokemon directly if it's placed after the major title of the movie. Giratina and the Icy Sky's Bouquet Shaymin, for a prime example, is 氷空の花束シェイミ. Note that the の is used to join Icy Sky and Bouquet. Deoxys movie was 裂空の訪問者デオキシス (Sky-Splitting Visitor Deoxys, same join here), and so on. To do so now would break the flow, and would be incorrect for the gravity of the title.
So, unless more information pops up to dethrone Zekrom the title of being (the) Dark Hero whom they've just placed at the base of their titles, that's how things are. There are no assumptions here, we're going directly off the news right there in front of our eyes. Can't do much else asides from speculate at that point. You've also contradicted your own argument for the translation (for which, by the way, was translated by someone whom lives there and uses the language essentially natively): "What is the relationship of Dark Hero and Zekrom?" is a re-wording of "What's Zekrom's relationship to being the Dark Hero?"

I don't think Ash will be fighting Zekrom. After all, it says Dark HEROO00ooo... so I think he'll just save the world from something. I dunno just pointing that out.
