This looks so cool.

Let me get this right:

19 different Arceus cards excluding level X?

I can just imagine the prereleases...

Something I guess I forgot to mention in the first Advent of Arceus thread was the Lv.X cards (though this may have been mentioned already). As the news story says, they're each Colorless. However, if you look at the Lv.X Arceus for the Grass/Fire deck, it clearly has a green face with yellow eyes, meaning it's Grass-Type Arceus. (However, the Lv.X for the Electric/Psychic deck appears to be regular Arceus, as its mandala is yellow with what looks like green gems.) So then why would the Lv.X be Colorless? Perhaps this is just the size of the image making it look that way, but I'm almost certain it's Grass-Type Arceus... Oh, well. We'll see for sure as soon as official images are released.
 
Very interesting set. Not many cards though. Hopefully ours will have all the Arceus forms though.:)
 
I don't like having "fire arceus", or "whatever" arceus. I'd rather have plates be tools with added effects. Here's an exapmle:

Fist plate Pokemon tool.-
Attach this pokemon tool to your active arceus, or arceus or arceus lv.X.

Arceus is now a [F] type:
Weakness: [P] *2
Resistance:
Arceus now has this pokebody - tectonic plates:
If arceus is attacked while on the bench, you may flip a coin, if heads, search your deck for any pokemon tool. Show it to your opponent, and put it in your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

Judgment dojo: [F][F][F][F] Switch your opponents active pokemon with one of their benched pokemon, and put 10 damge counters on it. Discard one fighting energy attached to arceus. If your opponent has no benched pokemon, this attack fails.




Thats the type of mechanic I wanted with arceus.

Keep in mind this is a Japanese set.
It'll have more cards coming from the theme decks.
The American release will combine the cards from the Japanese booster packs and the theme decks.
My guess is that there'll be around 120+ cards.

Aren't there going to be a lot more? The Theme Decks each have 60 cards, and the mainset is supposed to have 90. Doesn't that add up to about 210? Which, is a really huge set, and that is why I'm not so sure on the numbers...
 
^ Many cards are multiples and reprints, so no. But it's probably more than 120.

I just corrected the information in the post thanks to Bangiras.

The American release will remove all movie-related Pokémon and push them into the February-set, though.
 
Something tells me that they're going to cut out the Arceus cards when they're supposed to come out.

Isn't 1 Lv.X enough? We know we're screwed when God gets a Lv.X, but 3?
 
Woah, tons of Arceus. First there were Shaymin, Dialga and Giratina running mass in PT and now 12 Arceus? ;o One for each type is cool, but they should've made a Lv.X for each type too. I have a feeling they're not going to be very good. Maybe as a Rogue, but not Tier 1.

I'm way excited to play arceus. Does anybody know if their all going to be names Arceus, or will they have different titles like the deoxys

The picture with the theme decks shows them only says "Arceus" so they're all going to be the same.

I hope they arent all arceus, imagine having to choose one for your deck! Then again, tons of Arceus would be less godly.
 
Oh, I thought they were going to make 1 arceus card for each video game type, but 1 for each TCG type is also nice... and 3 lv. x is awsome..
