(1) 'Nintendo Direct' Announces 'Pokemon AR Searcher' and 'Pokedex 3D Pro' [4/20]

The new AR game seems really cool. I will definitely be getting lots of use out of it.

As for the PokeDex sequel, I barely ever use the first one. So I don't think I'll be paying for the new one.

Hopefully we'll get these when we get our launch of Black/White 2.

looking at it I'm fairly certain it is articuno, just seen from behind with it's tail flaring up higher than it's head.
 
Ho-oh, it has that feather thing at the top of its head and the feathers on the wing are perforated the same way Ho-oh's is.
EDIT: Then again, maybe not.
 
not ho-oh, archeops, or articuno. too many things don't match up. articuno's tail over his head? that'd be really awkward wouldn't it? why would it be up there, have you ever seen art like that? besides the rest of it doesn't match articuno, including the tufts and weird things sticking from its face. as for archeops, maybe, if he was shaved and had his neck broken...

It looks like Ho-Oh flying away, except it's got those things bulging out of its wings and Ho-Oh's big ol' tail isn't there. So it can't be it. And it doesn't seem to match anything else either. Unless the game cuts off parts of the Pokemon first like a reverse hangman or something, lol.
 
So these add-ons all together are about TWENTY-TWO BUCKS!? I'm sorry, but that's kinda pricy... Is it possible to buy the Japanese Version of those on an American 3DS though? 0-O

The only problem with it being Swanna is that they have webbed feet, and the silhouette does not
 
Heh, now this should be interestng, I just can't wait to see what that is. I'm hoping new Pokemon~ Would be interesting to see.
 
HMMMMM...

What if those circles on the wings are what you're supposed to hit with the light beam? Like targets.

The center circle of the white beam is the same size as the circles on the wings.

Maybe you hit the two circles, gain points on that meter, and then you get to see the Pokemon.

EDIT: And also, the yellow circle hits both of the circles on the silhouette. As if you're supposed to rotate in a circle to hit them.
 
If those are targets, then the Pokemon really looks like Ho-oh, possibly with its head leaning backwards, looking up.

No, it isn't. The 3DS is region locked, so you can only play American games on the American 3DS, and Japanese games on the Japanese 3DS.
 
Why did it have to be a beam of light? Why not make a whole fully fledged Pokemon game with a journey and stuff or at least pokeballs? Maybe for a future console (virtual reality huh...)

Nonetheless I'm excited but the pokedex is pretty pricey. Hopefully it's free like the original one here in Aus.
 
Who'd've thought a silhouette would be so hard to figure out.

Hmm... It looks like it's flying away from the camera (sticking its tail out at you). I really want to say Unfezant or Archeops, but neither of them seem right... Maybe it's 2 Pokemon appearing at once, and they mixed silhouettes? I have no idea. Swanna? A rare Pokemon... What IS that thing?
 
When I first saw the title, I thought it meant we could finally rat out the players with action replays. Oh well, this is still really cool. Doesn't the silhouette just look like Ho-Oh? That's probably what it is.
