I'm really glad it's back, and that's a decent line up. Bleach is Bleach, you'll love it or hate it. Deadman Wonderland is a really messed up anime, but it was good. FMA:B is just simply amazing, though I'm seriously sick of Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop, I never did like them. Casshern Sins was a surprised since I didn't think it was popular enough to come state side, I still liked it.

Problem is, I've watched all of them xD Though if they bring Fairy Tail, I will scream like a little girl.

/me "likes" this post.

Nothing, really. I suppose it's just something fans of all types of anime enjoy.

What this guy said.

Most of us grew up with Toonami so seeing it come back is a nice thing for us to see.

It's like asking what do Ron Paul and Herman Cain have to do with Pokemon - technically nothing, but it was something funny and worthy of note.

If everybody else is cool with it, so am I. I just don't like to see our news updates get off track and random.

I remember watching this block when they had it on the WB network. There was always 2 episodes of Pokemon Jackie chan and Card Captors but I usually only watched Pokemon though. Sometimes Jackie Chan but not always XD.:)

It used to play Pokemon and is on the network that does play Pokemon, so it's not off track.

Remake and retcon one of my of my favorite OVAs? You'd better know what you're doing, Japan.
They don't know what they're doing

To add to this. It is not off track as it is aimed around the Pokemon area and really we should also have event updates for our Wi-Fi traders also. We should have news that has anything to do with Pokemon in general and not just for TCG news but really for everything. That includes CN since CN is now the main source for Pokemon. He is not off track. It is more of a side note. WPM has the right to post any news on this site and I will back him 100% on this XD.:)

Toonami needs to show newer content. Come on, most of those in the list are now available in netflix live-streaming. Instead they come back with dated shows.

Lets remember their budget. They're not exactly rich as T.V stations go. (or so they've said) They could be trying to appeal to a slightly older audience. What with Deadman Wonderland and all. It's about time they got rid of Bleach and Ghost in the Shell, even if they're good. We've just about all seen those series, and I'm not sure how they're getting any more money from keeping those anime on. Adding FMA could help though...everyone liked FMA.(the original. I wasn't really a fan of it, but everyone else liked it) They might also be trying to lure people in with these new anime that are kind-of lesser known but have been regarded as good anime that some people may have never gotten the chance to watch...

Sounds to me like this isn't really Toonami at all, it never really came back it's just Adult Swim doing what they've been doing every Saturday at Midnight for the last 4 years. First they always air King of the Hill with The Boondocks and then their Anime lineup which Adult Swim now calls "Toonami". I knew this wasn't going to work cause of how most people get their Anime Online...

They need to get rid of Bleach on their lineup, in Japan Bleach is almost over in terms of the Manga and the Anime ended after the Fullbring Arc which of course the English Dub is far behind on and even with the One Piece Dub by FUNimation it could take years for them to catch up with Japan's current arc right now. The only reason why Dragonball Z got away with it is because back then the Internet wasn't as widely used as it was in the last decade.

The head of Adult Swim came out and said this, but to many including myself this just means they went into this half-cocked.\

I said just above in that post that that was what they said, not even that I agreed with it.

I wasn't replying to anything that you said when I asked what.

I'm afraid that it seems this is more of a case of Cartoon Network trying to set up Toonami to fail. They don't really want to bring back an anime block, but the campaign to get it back after the April Fools joke was too successful to just ignore. So they bring back Toonami with a shoestring budget and in the timeslot equivalent of hell. That way, they can point to this and say they "tried" to bring it back, but it just didn't pull enough ratings, and go back to focusing on their proprietary shows.

Which is why we actually need to watch Toonami, so CN corporate sees that it's profitable enough to get past their current anti-anime bias.

(NOTE: I don't have proof of any of the above. But it's what it looks like to me.)
