(1) Twelve 'Revived Legends' Cards Revealed [1/15]

*1st to make the post*
They good great....I can't wait to start using them....esp. the Raikou.
Wonder if I can tech it into my Lions deck....
I know that my friend will <3 to have Houndoom~prime.

Edit: I didn't see this:

Kingdra's holding a Dragon Scale....now I do want it (even though I don't collect the Sea Dragons).

That Entei/Suicine is broken when combined with Feraligatr prime. That's about 100 damage a turn if you can set it up properly.
I do like the look of these cards, plus the art to the LEGEND cards are great.

The Battle Starter Deck Blastoise seems better

Oh wow these cards look awesome. Darnit, too cool to pass up. I can't wait until it comes out, although I'm sure my wallet wants to.

Kingdra is awesome. Thanks to DCE coming out in HGSS the Rivived Legend Kingdra can be hitting for 80 from T2 and it can pretty much do this every turn =O. The brokeness of most of the cards are just unbeilevable, i'm definately going to be picking up a Box of this set.

Kingdra Prime...sucks. Sure, you get a free Crobat G every turn, but there are a bunch of Fires that look promising. Like Ninetales HGSS. Surely, that's going to be played in the absence of Uxie and Claydol, which we all know is going to come. When your opponent has Ninetales...blech. I'm glad they finally made a bad Kingdra for once.

I'm kind of liking Lanturn. Automatic 70 for starters, then more for every other energy...Feraligatr Prime can help here. I see Lanturn being played in the future, which is nice, because it's one of my favorite Pokemon.

The LEGEND cards...I don't have to say anything. BROKEN.

Scizor Prime seems decent enough. Counter to all those special energy abusers, but we've seen those before.

I like Houndoom Prime. Burning and your opponent can't retreat? That seems pretty cool, doing a maximum of basically 110 damage for 3 energy.

I'm really liking this set so far. Really liking it. Can't wait to see more.

Prime Scizor caught my eye when I first read his translations. To be able to take no damage from Special Energy users could devastate the format since so many decks can use DCE/Call Energy. Metal Claw can do just about 70 for two (you have two Metal Energy on Scizor) so that gives him a little bit of a lower energy cost for the amount of damage it does.

Kingdra, is good. Odds are, you are running it with 3 (or two) RL Kingdra in case Charizard comes in. Then, by basically having a Crobat G each turn, plus Kingdra RL's last attack, you can be doing 90 for three energy (two with DCE.)

The Legend cards are interesting. Dual type Pokemon are returning, which I do like. They are near-broken, however, since DCE kicks in XD.

Lol, I misread Raikou first and thought it'd do 80 to everything haha. Kingdra is pretty good, but Scizor is by far my favourite.

Entie+Raikou=AMAZING. Knock out Uxie, Azelf, Claydol, and at least severely damage every thing else with power, AND it has free retreat!

I like Scizor, and a combo with Zone seems good. Free retreat and switching/retrieving your energy.

I laughed when I read Lanturn, because me and some friends were betting it would be at least part water and do something with energy. I should have seen it coming.

Kingdra has potential, but I'm not quite sure how well it'll against everything else.

This set will quite easily be the game changing set next year.

Most of the cards don't seem very good.. but I can see Feraligatr (Prime) and Suicune and Entei Legend being great.

Kingdra Prime is epic, 60 for 1 and a Crobat every turn? Thank youuu!! If your opponent has fire types, just tech in an LA one or two to kill those.

Also, Raikou-Entei is pretty good to. That destroys lots of drawpower and a bunch of SPs too.

I like Scizor prime too and I think it will become very popular.

Good thing it's two prizes when one of these LEGENDs is knocked out instead of one (that would be silly). Also, good thing they released Pokemon Communicator last set; it actually makes LEGENDs easy to get out! :O No, seriously, it would be horrible otherwise. You can trade in dupe parts with Pokemon Communicator and grab the part you need. It's like a Bebe's, except it's a Trainer and you can only use Pokemon as the sacrificial card. 9 universal search cards instead of 5 makes a big difference in consistency, doesn't it?

Basically, they'll be played. Especially R&E. 80 to everything with powers for 2. You then retreat for FREE next turn (Suicune adds 20 HP but 1 Retreat Cost). They'll be played a lot more than Ho-oh and Lugia, at least, those poor things. Sure, you lose 2 prizes, but they have monster HP and some of the best attacks in the game.

Anyways...

Lanturn = they intended this for use with Ferialigatr (Prime). I know it. You know it. They know it. So yeah...

Oh and it isn't weak to Grass OR Lightning. That makes it, well, awesome by default. The energy isn't returned to your hand and you can spread it out among all of your Pokemon, so one KO won't screw you over necessarily, and you don't have to reattach energy every turn, so a pair of Ampharos (Prime) won't slaughter you.

I saw Scizor (Prime).

I cried.

Double Colorless Energy is a Special Energy. Do the math from there. Like, it can be played around, but you have to build your Pokemon up with regular energy, and it can't be attached with DCE in the first place (or it still does jack). Doing 70 for 2, and potentially reducing the amount of damage done to you while you're at it, is also good.

...Let's wait for Tyrantiar and Steelix's prime forms, because their non-Prime forms are... ugh.

All I gotta say. Oh wait, the art is amazing. NOW I'm done. Now to wait until August... HORRAY!

OMG this set is gonna own not to mention the Art on these are cool as hell my favorites in terms of artwork were Kingdra both cards,Steelix and Houndoom

Alright, if there's one set that demands buying a box, it's this one. I mean seriously.

Kingdra Prime... sort of ironic that it gets stopped by fire decks. Major donk potential though.

I'm biased towards Lanturn just because it's my favorite Pokemon, but... looks decent, actually. Effective dual-typing helps it abuse Feraligatr and cover weaknesses. And if the attack is correct in stating the number of Energy rather than the number of Energy cards, looks like Lanturn's another contender for DCE abuse (although, really, what isn't?).

Entei & Raikou... cheap attacks, great effects. I mean, L+C for 80 on anything with Poke Powers? If you can find away to avoid the backlash, this is amazing.

Suicune & Entei, Feraligatr Prime, etc etc etc. 100 snipe every turn? Yes plz.

Raikou & Suicune... eh. Damaging yourself is never good, especially not with 2 2x weaknesses.

Looks like Scizor Prime was made just to laugh at DCE users. Looks like you'll have to be more careful about slapping down the DCE's on your main attackers in the future (and also Call Energies assuming they haven't been rotated out).

Houndoom Prime... eh. Coin flip for burn, lack of DCE abuse... not liking it.

All and all, looks like a great set so far!
