(1) Worlds 2012 Swag + Tropical Beach Promo [8/10]

...I liked last year's Tropical Beach better. This one isn't bad, but...it's not even really a beach. It looks like a pier.
 
I like the prizes, shame I didn't get an invite, but oh-well. Shame they didn't make a new Promo, but perhaps this is because it was such a good & expensive card.

Something tells me they're gonna throw us a wild card with next year's Worlds, because otherwise they would've just put it in the competitor packs.

I don't get why everyone is so disappointed it's not a new promo. It's not like they make a new promo every year. :/

Worlds:
05, 06, and 10 had Tropical Tidal Wave
04, 07, 08, and 09 had Tropical Wind
11 and 12 have Tropical Beach

I can almost bet that next year's promos will be one of those 3.

Making a new one in 2011 was actually a bit of a curve-ball for me; I honestly thought that it was going to be Tropical Wind in 2011, but nope, it's Tropical Beach. 2012 I anticipated it'd be Beach as well, but no real surprises there.
2013's will be most likely Beach, but it could again depend on the location. We'll have to wait and see.

If it's in an actual city like New York it would probably be something like Urban Subway or something, lol. If they did change the location to a non-beach area I can see them making a new promo like you said.
 
I doubt they'll deviate from the "Tropical X" theme, though...It's possible, but I see it as being very unlikely.

It would be weird for it to be in the middle of a country in my opinion.

I think it would be harder to fly/drive somewhere in the middle than to go to a coast.

No, that wasn't what I intended, but sure, let's go with that.

Does anyone know if the pencil has Worlds art on it? Or if it's a plain one like the stickers?

My favorite thing about the promo is Psyduck staring at everybody from the distance like a big old creeper.
 
Wow, a lot of good news. I see that TPCi continues to please me and torture me at the same time by putting Psyduck on every hard-to-get Worlds promo.

That Klinklang is a rather nice card, and I quote DNA, "DAT CROBAT."
 
Man, the monkeys are the main feature of the promo? I really don't want to spent all that money for that.

Maybe it's time I gave up trying to get them all then.
 
I like the packs, what is in the box? Is it just a big dex box?

Also, rumour has it Worlds 2013 is going to be in Vancouver, Canada.
