(1) 'X' and 'Y' To Be Available as 3DS eShop Downloads

I hope the Streetpass functionality is actually... y'know... useful.
I'd like the option to be able to battle people I Streetpass with, or at least be able to see their team and have them register in my PokeDex as encountered. None of that Gen 5 Entralink minigames BS. I only used that once.

Also the digital download thing is nice since I have this ugly habit of misplacing my DS games (they're so tiny augh!!) but I preordered Y months ago. Oh well. :v

In 3D or no? I might actually check it out if it is, just to see what the actual game's 3D would be like. The new Zelda trailer was in 3D and it looked pretty nice, after all.
 
I tried it. But it's kinds hard to decipher. You can turn the 3D on, but I don't really think it makes a difference.
 
Where I live stores are closed on Sunday because of some bullshit law. I've missed the launch of almost every Nintendo game since forever.

This is a good thing.
 
Hooray for this option! Although I'm a purist and will be going for the physical game cartridges I already pre-ordered, I'm glad to see Nintendo doing it for those who want their game ASAP.

I'm planning on getting a physical copy of one of them, and downloading the other, but as of yet I'm really not sure which I'll download.
 
Normally, I'm a fan of cartridges, but if greek shops follow the common trend of bringing the games a week late, then I'll settle for a digital version. Unless, of course, it has any restrictions.
 
Hmmm. Does this mean we will be able to see other Pokemon games on the eShop in the near future? I always thought the only reason they weren't on there was because of trading difficulties. They'd make a fortune and many others could play the classics.
Now that doesn't seem that big of an issue I expect to see some Gold and Silver on my Virtual Console.
 
I really don't see how trading difficulties would be present; we've had GB emulators with the ability to trade Pokemon for a few years at least. They could easily recode the older games to work with the 3DS's wireless capabilities.
