(2) Haxorus/Druddigon from 'Dragon Selection,' CoroCoro Hints at Keldeo Reveal [1/14]

I think they look pretty fun.

I'm excited about the new dragon types!
Then again, I'm one of the few that have been saying since 1999 that all 15 (now 17) types should be represented.

Maybe Haxorus could be a tech to beat Colorless pokémon, even though there isn't any colorless pokémon really playable right now (except Tornadus, maybe Regigigas EX when it comes out? Or am I forgetting something?)...

That would be a horrid change. It'd negate the importance of type advantage when deck building altogether. Such a change would only make single-type synergy and random occasional weakness/resistance changes the only reason to care about types. If each type had its own energy, that change would be even worse. We wouldn't have toolboxes at all and combinations that would work out under the current system would absolutely fail in the long run. Your idea is monumentally bad for the game -- at least think before you make a "this would be cool" statement.

As far as the dragons go, they are all bad. Salemence's power is okay, but it is just very kling klang KLUNK. I want at least one or two dragons that can be seen in competitive play. We still haven't seen the Dragon energy. If it were along the lines of DRE or scramble, a dragon might see play (assuming all dragons are designed in the way the ones we have seen are designed), but I'm still a skeptic. Dragons have so much potential to be cool, flavorful, and really good. Currently, they are only flavorful... not too much coolness or skill in them yet.

Haxorus doesnt seem TO bad ... Just Pretty bad.

Drudigon might be ok to, depending on how much damage leering bite does, or depending if you guys got the translation right, which is hard to say since the card is at a weird angle.

Well, ShapelyMan did say that he's one of the few to want 17 types. And, while competitively awful, it would be kind of cool.

The Dragon-types are unusually weak, which leads me to believe that there must be some sort of missing factor. Pokemon wouldn't make a new type as a joke; just as Darkness and Metal got special Energy to validate them, I expect something similar for Dragon.

This is starting to feel like a promo set, like Southern Islands. This set is looking to be for collectors only. And...

OMG DRAGON TYPE DRUDDIGON ASKLDFJAKGA!!!! *passes out*

This obviously doesn't give us any more clues about the Kyruem mystery... Except for the for the fact it will have to do with ice. If Kyreum gets a new form, what do you think its orb will be called? :)

“What is the secret of Kyurem’s ice?”

From what it sounds like, it looks as if that they are simply going to reveal Kyurem's secret attacks, and not its new form. Kyurem's ice will not make it a new form. In fact, if there were a new form for Kyurem, I can see it not being an ice type at all. If it is hinting "ice," it seems like they are going to reveal those 2 secret attacks, as here, I can see how Kyurem's ice comes into mind (both of the attacks are ice type attacks). Otherwise, now I will be surprised if it's a new form for Kyurem, although there still is a possibility that it might be the new form, but I doubt it.

As for the Dragon Selection set, yep, it really looks like this set is just going to be a bunch of promos, where all the cards will be simply collector's items. It looks like the good dragon Pokemon won't come out until BW5. =/

In-game data for Pokemon Black and White reveals an unused special item known as the God Stone. This stone, unlike the other two, is gray in color, and because of that, it seems connected to Kyurem, which I can see it being used in the third game. Will it be used to transform between Kyurem's forms? No one knows.

These Dragon Types are BEAUTIFUL. Druddigon's artwork makes it look more vicious than it is. But I agree with everyone that's saying that this set is mainly targeting collectors. These Dragons over-rule the type of your deck! For example: let's say one kid loved Haxorus so much that he wanted to make a deck with him. His deck would have to be Metal and Fighting types! Otherwise his lovely Haxorus would lose the battle, along with his self esteem, and get a job at McDonalds making french fries. (<- I just looked at that and it's gonna be my next signiture so NOZ STEALING!!!:D) Keldeo, Ice Burn, Freeze Shock, Kyurem's new form, what's next for the Pokemon Video Games? Bring it on GameFreak!!! BRING IT ON!!!

Why are the creators of the Pokemon TCG defecating on Dragon Pokemon? These cards could be better made!

Well, I guess Keldeo's revelation will follow the pattern of previous Mythical Pokémon after all. February 12th - 14th should be a very interesting time indeed. Can't wait to see how Sugimori drew it. As far as the "secret of Kyurem's ice" goes, it's weird they'd single out the ice. Putting it that way does make it sound more like the revelation will regard the hidden moves rather than a new forme.

The artwork for the Dragon-Type Druddigon is pretty awesome. Looks like it's reaching out to TEAR OUT YOUR SOULLLLL! Anyway, looking forward to more artwork from the set.

Wow those cards are awesome. At first when I saw the yellow guy I thought he was a shiny. I thought the black one was the regular until I check online and it was the other way around. Anyway the cards and pack is awesome XD.:)

I think the problem the card designers have is making them balanced. They don't want to release the broken stuff right away. Druddigion may have been mis-translated(I hope so anyway).

(also, the dragon energy will be a new form of rainbow energy for dragon cards. with the type variation on attacks, it would make sense)

Haxorus looks nice. Druddigon looks cool, too. Mayebe Kyurem's new form will have something to do with Fire, Ice, and Electric to fit the moves. Keldeo is undoubtably going to be revealed soon.

Is this set really only having 20 cards? Since Haxorus is 16/20.
Hope not... But maybe then they all would be dragons! cO
Kinda weird set. All cards will be holographic too?
Salamence is my favourit dragon from the set until now. Rayquaza could be fun too.

This Druddigon convinced me - the next deck I'm making will be a Druddigon deck!

Not just because the card seems very decent, of course - it's also got plenty to do with OMG BEST CARD ILLUSTRATION IN AGES! So epic~ *A*

Dragon Selection has been billed a mini-set featuring all holographic Dragon-type cards since day one. It was originally reported as 40 cards, but we learned it was actually 20 a few weeks ago.
