We can now confirm that, as expected, the 2024 Illustrator Contest promos will be available at GameStop starting February 27th.
All three cards will be packaged together. You will need to spend $15 on Pokemon products to receive them. There will be a limit of one per customer.
The cards will also be available at the Pokemon Center and Pokemon Leagues.

Yeah, good luck with that. With scalpers and investors buying up every little piece of TCG product available like a pack of genetically-modified locusts it'll be almost impossible to find enough product to reach that $15 threshold.

Oh, and that doesn't include GameStop employees backdooring the promotional items too. I already seen some put up the Pokémon Day Sylveon promo up on sites like Facebook Marketplace.

you should document it with the persons name and contact gamestop and pokemon about it, get them fired from gamestop, we dont need scummy people who are going to backdoor stuff ruining our hobby, they want to play bad games then they will get bad prizes such as losing a job.

Every gamestop I go to is out of pokemon cards. One guy literally told me that the first guy that came in on the 7th bought all the prismatic. Like the guy above said, they arent gonna go anywhere and people will probably pocket them. I literally gave each of my league members a prize pack series 5 pack if they wrote a ticket into pokemon customer service telling that scalpers and local game stores are ruining collecting, and to a smaller extent, playing the game. They also had to request that they flood the market and find new ways to spread out the product.

I hope it does something like help pokemon understand what's happening..

If only I had your optimism, I doubt TPCi will do anything to fix this unless one of their bigger events (like Worlds) is disrupted by a massive protest.

And yes, I'm implying that the Tweet they posted last month that said they would is just smoke and mirrors. They said the same thing about Celebrations and look at how that went.

I dont think that is the best example, I dont know about other areas, but my area had enough celebrations. Not at first, but eventually it was easy enough to find. I don't think there is a lot they can do except just keep printing the set. That is literally all they can do. The rest is up to us to not buy overpriced product from scalpers and stores, and stores to cut the tags off of product. I say that because it's funny watching scalpers and nest Eggers throw tantrums. Seriously though, everyone should stop supporting local game shops since the first chance they get they screw us.
