Yes next month marks the 15th anniversary of the super nintendo enertainment system and I HAVE THE VERY FIRST ONE EVER MADE by nintendo and my brother gave it to me for christmas of 1991 and it was used to make more of the systems and it is a prototype and it still works to this day and it still has the mario sticker on it to prove that it was the first one ever made.:)

Please. The only prototypes out of Japan would be shells, because they were being redesigned. Don't make me laugh. Anyway, your brother wouldn't have access to Nintendo's prototypes unless he worked on them- even then, he wouldn't be allowed to give it to you.

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

It is not a joke He gave me the very first SNES system that was fully complete and working and it was also the one they and he used to test the games too.:) Yes he did and he helps with the games and now he works with the systems and he got special permission to do it too.:)

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

I can't provide one because I do not know how to use myscanner and I amsorry if you do not belive me because It is true and I would not lie to you and only the prototype systems had the super mario bros sticker just below the power button and it was so the one they used when the games were still just chips without the hard grey cover to protect it too. I wish I could show you a picture of it but I can't because it is still in storage from when we move and we have not been able to get it yet and I wish I could be more clear on this but can't and yes it is the closest proof that I have and you cannot get a system with the prototype super mario sticker anywhere else. I hope you believe me now. Trust me I am not lying to you.:)

Nintendo, or any other company, DOES NOT place stickers on prototypes. Any difference would be solely in the hardware.

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

For one no one believes you, so just give up. We arent gonna believe you just because you say something is true. You have no one and no proof to back you up. I'm sad that my brother got rid of our NES & SNES when I was little - I wish he kept it :(

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

Sorry you guys don't belive me. I guess you need to talk to my broth and have him tell you.:)

And yes they used to put their special stickesr on their prototypes and I have also been there 3 times and that is how I know.:)

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

Maybe xxashxx thinks it is genuine, but... well, it isnt >.< Might be a fake, I bet there are a ton out there... either that, or he's very lucky!

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

I am very lucky because I even had the ultra N64 for 3 months and my brother said I could have it if I wanted it but I would not get any games with it so I did not take and I even have the prototype street fighter II the world worrior and on those games it said NOT FOR RESALE in red letters and a white back ground on the top edge of the game and my SNES had that on it at one time but I took off the sticker and wiped it clean so there was no sticky stuff left over and it looks like the ones they used to sell in stores and everything but I took off that sticker it had on it when I was a kid.:)

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

Over here it played game paks and not disks but I almost got the system.:)

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

No I am not I had KI gold super mario 64 turok super mario kart and one other game and they were game paks like we have for ours. You know what they may have been discs in the form of packs with the discs behind the hard covers and played the same as paks but they did look like game paks So you may be right in a way but I am not sure.:)

RE: !5th anniversary of the SNES

Actually, the SNES celebrated its 20th anniversary a few days ago.

Anyway, I'll leave this open for now for discussion of its 20th anniversary.

The system I grew up with and love more than any other! No modern video games can ever replace the happiness that super metroid, yoshi's island, kirby superstar, super mario RPG, donkey kong country 3, and numerous others brought to my young life. every 6 to 12 months I bust out my snes and polish off a few of the old games again.

p.s. 1st page of this thread really needs its figurative head bashed in

This. All of it. If DKC3 was replaced with DKC2 and ALttP and the Mega Man X games were added, this is the perfect post on these forums.

Funny enough, I busted my SNES out for my young cousin (he's 8) last month. He loved it so much I bought him one on eBay and had it shipped to his house.

So classic.

My roommate and I just moved into our apartment that was filled with a bunch of stuff that the previous tenant left. Among them, a SNES. It was like finding a pot of gold. I had been wanting to get an SNES for so long and now I've got one to play my awesome SNES games on.

Long live the SNES, best system ever
