Snorlax was from Jungle, not Base Set. (Also, it's hard to believe that this is actually BUFFED from the Jungle one, ignoring the lack of resistance. It used to do a pathetic 30 damage. Kinda hard to imagine a Snorlax Body Slam hurts less than a Wartortle's Bite.)
I like how they handled most of these. Kinda wish they kept Rattata simple and made Raticate more interesting instead, though. They handled Poliwhirl incredibly well, keeping the feel of the original while bringing it in line with modern cards. (Of course, it's Poliwhirl, so it's not going to be relevant, but still.) Poliwrath was always a card I was fond of from Base Set, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with it. I also like how they did Starmie, since Recover was pretty useless anyway.
Overall, Mewtwo is the only one I see potentially being relevant. (Solid attackers that use Colorless energy are always going to be things to keep in mind.) But then, I didn't expect a set like this to give us much in the way of playable cards. (Aside from Blastoise, Alakazam and MAYBE one or two Trainers. Maybe they'll buff a few things like Machamp into relevance, who knows.)
