Still though, i'm sure we'll see 5th Generation for the first time in this movie. The word 'toujou' by itself is by no means evidence enough, but seriously, all other signs are pointing to some new Pokemon!

They could be working on a 3D Wii RPG game like Colo/XD. We haven't had one of those yet...
That would explain the need for an announcement and 3D artists. That way they could keep us busy, buying them more time, and show us a new Pokémon á la Bonsly in XD

Great article! Really hope it's a 5th gen. I'm tired of new forms for only legendaries.

New here on the forums, but I have been following Pokemon since Red and Blue came out.
Even if there is no new announcement THIS month (or year) about the 5th Generation, I remember reading an article once (been trying to find it) where Ken Sugimori stated that he had designed over 1,000 Pokemon. Now, I am sure most of them will never ever see the light of day, have been altered greatly or are just rough sketches. However, we do know for a fact that Sugimori planned for a couple of Generations of Pokemon and games, so Diamond and Pearl are not the last generation.
I think that if a new Generation is announced, it will keep the old graphics that has been the staple of Pokemon, but at the same time, use the new 3D graphics as they did in Diamond, Pearl, Platinum and from what I'm guessing HeartGold and SoulSilver. They are not going to drastically change the graphics of the game since that is the staple of the series. It would make sense that given the rumors about yet another DS generation that we would see an increase in new generation news because Pokemon is a tent franchise for Nintendo and pretty much every time there is a new console released, there is a Pokemon game (in some form) on the shelves next to it. Nintendo is not about to let Pokemon die any time now.
Would I like to see a RPG for the Wii? Yes. My ultimate Pokemon game (as well as many others I'm guessing) is to have the same gameplay as Red going to SoulSilver, but on the Wii. They have tested it before with XD, but again, Pokemon's core has always been portable and trading among friends.
Now what would I like to see?
1. KANGASKHAN has a baby form! Jeez! I mean Kangaskhan has it sitting there right in the pouch! How has GameFreak NOT jumped on that yet?!
2. New type introduced - Think about Rotom taking over machines.... Platinum could have been a soft release for "Machine" type Pokemon that would add a new spin on the series.
3. New set of PokeBalls - I know there are so many in the series, but you gotta have some new ones
4. Increase in the level of difficulty
5. Not copying Pokemon from previous generations
6. Downloadable content! I mean... it is great once you beat the Elite 4... but if Nintendo could release downloadable missions and events within the game, that would keep the games fresh until a new generation comes out.

I say make another game like xd gale of darkness or something like that(sorry for off topic) but ya i think we will see some new pokemon in the new movie...hopefully they dont make to many uncreative pokemon like they are known to do

I have no doubt in my mind that there will be 5th Generation Pokemon revealed and revealed soon. Their wording is clearly messed up in Japan, but there's no reason they shouldn't reveal something this big and huge.

I don't think the Anime will focus on the anime soon. Ash & Co. will probably go to Johto to visit the Johto Battle Frontier.
As for the announcement: A fifth gen Pokemon definetely fits the timing. Let's hope it's not just a silhouette (although that is very likely), and let's hope it's a cool one.

I particularly enjoyed the new opening. =D
Cute, seeing all the legendaries might just be one of those memory moments of the show. Pretty exciting sort of, and we shall see how Ash does against Volkner. :F
As for the 5th generation pokemon, I doubt that they will keep any info from us any longer, which is making it very exciting, but hopefully they give out important information this month.

Wow there was a big mistake there XD. Oh well everyone does make a mistake once in a great while. The news sounds pretty good and I hope it is all not speculation and is the real deal too.

No, PokePark was done by Creatures. Gamefreak has only done the main games. Plus the announcement was only two months before PokePark was released.

I really do hope generation 5 is true and comes around soon. I'm going to be stuck with either HG or SS unless if I find Platinum. Kinda need it for prizes! About the 3D thing, I hope my DS Lite will support it...

That is the most epic pikachu card ever (besides M and captain) Blister packs seem like the way PUSA gets rid of their cards about to be rotated. I think they should lower the price since the cards will become useless in 7 months. Oh well, the pikachu will be BCIF.
