60 cards - Annoying?

I've experienced this frustration, and I want to ask to see if anyone else sometimes finds it annoying, but do you sometimes want to build a deck, only to find that it has too many pokemon so you have no room for trainers?

Do you think it would be better for PUSA to make the deck size not exactly 60 cards? I want to hear YOUR opinion!

It really depends on the deck you're running, my current deck needs a few more deck spaces to reach its full potential, my old deck had WAY too much free space.

Overall, I think it should just stay at 60, or we'll have noobs placing in every single card they own, removing any extra copies that would put them over the limit.

It would be interesting to see what would happen if you'd allow deck sizes of over 60. While 60 would still be the ideal number to shoot for, it would give some more wiggle space. Kind of like in Yugioh and Magic.
However, I also like the current 60 limit, since it does add a little extra tactical dimension to the game.

1)this thread is about pokemon lou cypher.
2)yes,it is pretty annoying beacause i run a deck that needs too many trainers and too many energies.

Are you kidding me infmach? Do you think I was talking about Yugioh or Magic? I was just citing those two as examples, because they use the 40/60-base and then you may add more deckbuilding guidelines.

I find myself running 12-13 energies lately, just because there is so much stuff I like to tech into my deck. But 60 is cool, it forces you to really put some thought into your lists instead of just throwing everything you need in there. And even if they changed it so the minimum becomes 60, 60 is probably still your best bet, just to increase the chances of getting the right cards.

I think what we need are Side Decks, as when we are trying new decks we need to try out different Tech's and Starters aswell as Trainers and Supporters. I think if we stayed with the 60 card deck and maybe had a Side Deck of around 12 cards that would be good.

I didn't play Yu-Gi-Oh before you say anything lol.

Yu-gi-oh originated the idea of a side deck. I like the 60 card idea. if we raise or lower it, or if we add a side deck Pokemon will become more like the thousands of TCG's out there.

I believe they set the exact number for a good reason. I tried playing 65 card deck against a 60 card deck.

The 65 card deck (I'll add that they use the same cards except for 5), kept winning on a 70-30 ratio.

The more cards they let us have, the more likely we use the maximum. More cards = More space for choices = Quick Setup = Too much swarming.

More cards = Less chance of getting what you need = Skewed deck ratios = Harder setup. Thats a truth you shouldnt forget either.

If you're talking about staring setups then yes, but there are enough search trainers/supporters that it's not hard to get things out.

having it exactly 60 cards is what makes the game uniquely pokemon.
and makes it more I guess interesting.
