A Base Set era theme deck question.

A couple years ago, I was given a ton of Base Set era cards. Recently, I've been going through them. I started to wonder if some of these cards were from theme decks. I checked, and I do have the material for:

  • Blackout
  • Water Blast
  • 2 Player Starter Set (Machamp-Charmeleon)
  • Power Reserve

I've decided to build them. Now, here's the question part: I've noticed that some of the lines in say Blackout and Power Reserve are 4-2-Nothing. Since most theme decks these days have a 4-2-1 line, I began to wonder if these decks had alternations, like decks today. For example, the Eternal Time booklet (a deck focused around Dialga that was produced for GE) advises you to take out 2 Energy Search and add a Dialga Lv. X and a Haryiama, while encouraging you to do so by yourself. Does anyone have these instruction booklets for these old decks? I've checked a couple of sources, and none have this.

EDIT: Turns out I only have the material for 4 decks. I was only missing the others by one or two cards. Oops.
EDIT #2: Thanks to Endhidia, I only need one more deck.
 
Think I had the very first theme deck, Macheap-Charmeleon, and they told me to put in a Charizard. It did have a Machamp, though. I'm not sure how many other theme decks did tell you to do this since I don't own them all. Only thing I remember is that they all suck.

I'm not sure they'd have this kind of information readily available. These decks are WotC products, after all.

I'd take this to PokeGym if you'd really like to find out. I'm sure a handful of people there have the materials still.
 
I think for my memory, yes they did have alternate decks. Lemme check my decks (I was given the first 3 theme decks in Pokemon)

Ok from Water Blast it suggests
Removing
1 Fighting Energy
2-1 Persian
1 Rhyhorn

Adding
4 Water Energy
1 Dewgong
1 Poliwrath
1 Seel

Power Reserve suggests
Removing
2-1 Gloom
1 Jynx
1 Kangaskhan (heh, asking you remove the Holo card)
1 Gust of Wind

Adding
4-2 Wigglytuff

From Blackout
Remove
2 Fighting Energy
1 Sandshrew
3 Onix
2 Farfetch'd
1 Gust of Wind
1 PlusPower

Add
2 Water Energy
2 Starmie
1 Blastoise
3-1 Dragonair (by this stage, Dragonite had no release)
1 Super Energy Removal

I can't find any info on changing the starter deck, but I have info on all 4 Base Decks, 2 Jungle and 2 Fossil
