1- can fossil excavator pick up holon fossil?

2- In the lbs deck l stands for lugia ex s for swampert ex but what does b stand for?
 
1 I assume so since it has fossil in its name
2 Lugia ex/steelix ex/blastoise ex
 
Regarding the first question, I'm not sure you could. The intent, I believe, is to pull Mysterious Fossil, Armor Fossil, Root Fossil, etc. from your deck. Holon Fossil literally has "Fossil" in its name, but I don't believe you would be able to do such a thing.

There was a question a while ago asking if Apricorn Maker could search for Balloon Berry because it has "Ball" in the title (AM says to search your deck for a card with Ball in its name (Poke Ball, Fast Ball, Friend Ball, etc).).

I'm gonna leave this open until we can get a real answer.
 
I just asked my dad (bbj763 on the gym, so you can trust him) and he said holon fossil can't be searched out with fossil excavator.
 
As I thought.
