Ruling A Couple Questions About DCE

#1: If a pokemon has a two retreat cost and has a DCE attached to it, will that be suffiecent to discard.for the retreat?
Also, when retreating, do you have to matchthe cost exactly? for example, the scenario i just mentioned above, but the pokemon only has a one retreat cost instead of two. could you discard the DCE for the retreat?

#2: For attacks on pokemon that do damage based on amount of energy attached, (specifically malamars ex maxamar attack) do DCEs count as two coin flips or in other cases x2 damage or still only count as a single energy?

Yes. DCE counts as two Energy, so when paying for retreat cost, it counts as two. If your retreat cost is one, and you try to retreat with a DCE, you do discard it in order to retreat.

For attacks like X Ball and Evil Ball, DCE still counts as two Energy and so adds 40 to the attack. For Malamar, you would get two additional coin flip.
