***First note to mods/admins***
this thread contains a few questions about some cards. I also noted ArmaldoEX's thread, which points out some ''misunderstandings'' about cards, so maybe you can close this thread/fuse it with ArmaldoEX's thread. The reason I posted this thread seperate from ArmaldoEX's thread is because I'd get some more attention for these questions this way. Thank you for your understanding.
***End first note***
Ok everyone, I'd like to ask you all a few questions, me and my friends have been discussing, but we couldn't find the answer. SO I'm letting these loose on you guys now, hopefully you guys know the ABSOLUTE answer(with absolute answer, I mean you actually know the answer, and aren't guessing! ) for me, and thanks in advance!
***Note beforehand: These are the questions, and under them are the answers I think are correct. So if I'm, wrong, please post which question I got wrong, and why. Thank you!***
Q: Blaziken's (from exPower Keepers) attack does 50 on the active, and 10 on the bench of your opponent after discarding one (R) energy. Now what if Blaziken knock's out the active pokmon with the 50 damage?
A: Blaziken first does 50 damage to the active pokmon, and then 10 damage on the bench of your opponent. Even if the active is KO'ed, the bench still receives 10 damage, as the opponent would replace the active pokmon after doing the damage.
Q: Infernape's Flare Blitz requires you to discard all (R) energy from Infernape, or that attack does nothing. Let's say Infernape uses double rainbow energy as the two (R), and then attacks. Double rainbow energy says that your attack will do 10 less damage than usual, but since you discard it, is that effect ignored?
A: Yes, as double rainbow energy is gone by the time the damage takes place.
Q: Infernape Lv X's attack Flare Up requires you to send 8 (R) energy from your discard pile to your deck in order to use it. Can double rainbow energy be used in order to meet the requirements, as you can make it count as 2 (R) energy?
A: No, as double rainbow energy is in the discard piel, and the discard piel does not refer to be in play. Furthermore, double rainbow energy only provides 2 energy of any type when attached to an evolved pokmon.
Q: I use a Rare Candy on my Chimchar and I want to evolve it. In my hand I have both Infernape, and Infernape Lv X. Can I play Infernape Lv X on Chimchar?
A: No, you can't do this, as Infernape Lv X MUST come from a ''normal'' Infernape which is at that time your active pokmon.
Q: I use Rare Candy on my active Chimchar, and evolve it to Infernape. Can I now play Infernape Lv X on it, or do I still have to wait a turn?
A: No, as Infernape still counts as just having evolved that turn, and Level Up requires your pokmon to be ''evolved'' for at least one turn.
Q: When an attack or effect from a card says to remove the highest stage from a pokmon, it says to pick to card underneath the Lv X card. Then the rules say you should remove the Lv X card as it is no longer ''Leveled Up'' appropriate. Does it move to my discard pile, or to my hand?
A: To the discard pile, I think.
So, pleas help me out with these questions, and thank you for your help!
