Well I only just recently started the TCG so I guess I still don't understand a few things

1. How many times can I retreat Pokemon?
I honestly don't know the answer to this one, but I think I remember seeing somewhere you can do it as many times as you like.

2. How do LvX cards work?
Can you put LvX cards on Pokemon on your bench (like normal Evolution)? Or do they have to be the active Pokemon to evolve to LvX?

3. Poke-Bodies
Do these 'activate' when they hit the bench/field or whatever? Or are they just always on and never activate?

4. What are the Metagame deck names?
I keep seeing Torterrible and AMU and ScizRim etc. being thrown around. What do most of these deck names stand for?

5. Can you use Rare Candy on Fossil cards?

I assume so because it counts as a Pokemon when it's in play.

6. Are you only allowed 4 of a certain type of Special Energy in your deck (e.g. can I have 4 Sp. Dark and then 4 Call?), or can you only have just 4 Special Energy cards?

Thanks for taking the time to answer these questions ;D

1. You can retreat only once per turn.
2. Like it says on the Lv. X card, you have to play them while they are active.
3. Poke-Bodies are always active (unless stated otherwise like Bronzong MD)
4. Torterrible is a Torterra deck. AMU is Azelf Lv. X, Mesprit Lv. X, and Uxie Lv. X. ScizRim is Scizor SF and Cherrim SF.
5. Yes you are correct about that.
6. The only card you are'nt limited to four of in a deck are basic energy cards.
Hope I helped.

As meny times as you like, as long as if you've got the cards/energy to do it.

2. How do LvX cards work?
Can you put LvX cards on Pokemon on your bench (like normal Evolution)? Or do they have to be the active Pokemon to evolve to LvX?
Only if it's active (IE: Leafeon that's your Active (or Attacking Pokémon) can level up to Leafeon Lv.X).

3. Poke-Bodies
Do these 'activate' when they hit the bench/field or whatever? Or are they just always on and never activate?
PK Bodies is always active (IE: Feraligatr Ex: Overpowering Fang)

4. What are the Metagame deck names?
I keep seeing Torterrible and AMU and ScizRim etc. being thrown around. What do most of these deck names stand for?
AMU=Azelf Lv.X, Misprit Lv.X & Uxie Lv.X
ScizRim=Scizor & Cherrim (Cherrimu) (from StormFront)

5. Can you use Rare Candy on Fossil cards?
I assume so because it counts as a Pokemon when it's in play.
No, you may not...as their fossils/Trainer Cards & not Pokémon.

6. Are you only allowed 4 of a certain type of Special Energy in your deck (e.g. can I have 4 Sp. Dark and then 4 Call?), or can you only have just 4 Special Energy cards?
Your allowed to have ANY 4 kinds of special Energy's in your deck.

Your Welcome (I hope that I did this right)

1. How many times can I retreat Pokemon?
I honestly don't know the answer to this one, but I think I remember seeing somewhere you can do it as many times as you like.
Once per turn, twice if you use a retreating trainer.

2. How do LvX cards work?
Can you put LvX cards on Pokemon on your bench (like normal Evolution)? Or do they have to be the active Pokemon to evolve to LvX?
No, you can only put them on your Defending Pokemon.
3. Poke-Bodies
Do these 'activate' when they hit the bench/field or whatever? Or are they just always on and never activate?
You have to have them on a Active Pokemon, yes.
4. What are the Metagame deck names?
I keep seeing Torterrible and AMU and ScizRim etc. being thrown around. What do most of these deck names stand for?
IDK, AMU is what I wonder about.
5. Can you use Rare Candy on Fossil cards?
Yes.
I assume so because it counts as a Pokemon when it's in play.
Yes. Read the description.

6. Are you only allowed 4 of a certain type of Special Energy in your deck (e.g. can I have 4 Sp. Dark and then 4 Call?), or can you only have just 4 Special Energy cards?
No, you can have *Example* 4 Special Dark and 4 Special Metal.

1. How many times can I retreat Pokemon?
You may only retreat once per turn by normal methods. Switch/Warp Point do not count as your retreat for the turn, so they may be used as many times as you wish before you retreat, and you can still reteat normally.

2. How do LvX cards work?
You may only Level Up a Pokemon while it is active.

3. Poke-Bodies - Do these 'activate' when they hit the bench/field or whatever? Or are they just always on and never activate?
Poke-Bodies are always on unless they specify a time when they ARE active. Like Bronzong from Majestic Dawn, or Tyranitar from Stormfront. They tell you when they work/activate.

4. What are the Metagame deck names?
Torterrible is Torterra and Sceptile, AMU is Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit, along with the Lv. Xs, and ScizRim is Scizor and Cherrim from Stormfront. Generally when you see a deck name it is just made up of parts of the names of the Pokemon it is based on, or just shorthand for the Pokemon that it uses.

5. Can you use Rare Candy on Fossil cards?
You may use Rare Candy to evolve a Fossil, they are considered a Basic Pokemon while in play, and the only thing Rare Candy requires is that the Pokemon it is used on is a Basic.

6. Are you only allowed 4 of a certain type of Special Energy in your deck (e.g. can I have 4 Sp. Dark and then 4 Call?), or can you only have just 4 Special Energy cards?
You may have 4 of as many Special Energy as you wish. So, you may use 4 Special Dark, 4 Call Energy, and 4 Multi Energy in the same deck.

Answers are in bold under your questions.
