Ruling A few SW questions.

My first question is about Venomoth SW.
It's attack say "prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to venomoth during your opponent's next turn". Now, If I were to attack with an Electrode, could I not make it 100 damage, seeing this is an effect?
My Second question is similar to the first, and about Venomoth. Could Electrivire DP discard the energies for doing 120, as this is also an effect.
Third I want to clarify a question about Electrivire SW. It's motor drive allows you to get an electric energy from the discard pile. Could I get something such as a DRE or Multi from the discard pile?

I only know the answer to the last question...

No. It's not a pure lightning Energy card, regardless of wiether it could provide Lightning Energy.

1. It's part of base damage. It's usable.
2. ENergies that multitype only provide multitypes when in play. Otherwise... they're just "energies".
 
1.- the text in electrode its not an effect. it´s a damage raiser, so u cannot prevente it.(the effect happens on electrode, not in venomoth)
2.- Aggain, its a damage raiser. if you could shut this down, you may also consider the weakness and resistance as an effect, plus power, etc....
By effects it measn: special conditions, "the defending pokemon cant retreat in your oponents next turn",discarding energies of your pokemon, have to change your pokemon for a benched one, etc.
3.-every one of this cards specify: "while in play "X" energy provides every type of energy...." That means only when they are in play
