Discussion A Heart for Moles - Dugtrio in the Current Meta

Hi everyone,

today I wanna ask you what you think about Dugtrio, the best mole of all time. I personally don't consider Dugtrio a Tier 1 deck, but I think there are some local metas where it can shine. Think about it: it has all kinds of support, like the fighting support and Eeveelutions (it can hit almost every top tier deck for weakness (Manectric, Yveltal, Raichu, Crobat, Night March [OHKOing everything there too], Vespiquen, Entei etc.). It even got a reprint in Generations! Mr. Mime was also reprinted, only the needed evolution and the grass weakness can hold it back now. But what's about a meta without Vespiquen? Could it work in such an environment?

People have thrown around Dugtrio/Eeveelution decks and Dugtrio + Fighting decks for quite some time now, because it is a cheap but powerful attacker with the potential of KOing a vast majority of Pokemon. I still think that its output may be a *little* low or it isn't as consistent as other variants even if consistent/fast attackers like Vespiquen didn't exist, but it is still a potential archetype imo.
