BW/BW2 A horrible thought about B/W

what if they're not backwards compatable? I mean so far that happens every two gens where the previous two just get cut off, like how R/S/E cut off generations 1 and 2. B/W will obviously not be able to pal park things from R/S/E, but will it be able to trade with diamond and such?

this worries me...
 
Yes it has already been confirmed that it can interact with all 4th Gen games, so no worries there.

You don't have to make a new thread about every little thing...

If you looked into the Gen5 stuff a bit more you will CLEARLY see that you can trade with DPP. And you'll also be able to play it on the 3DS.
 
The real question is if you'll be able to trade things from black and white back to gen4. we already know we can transfer them up to gen 5 though.
 
Yes let's totally ignore the fact that its been confirmed Pokemon Black & White has backwards compatibility with Generation IV, and better than that, let's make a new thread about it!

It's confirmed that somehow they are backwards compatible and you will be able to import 4th Gen Pokemon from your games into B/W. It is not confirmed (and highly unlikely) you'll be able to trade B/W stuff back to the 4th Gen games. /thread

It's released in the form of every 4th generation game.

HGSS is a great example of this. You can normally equip Poke Balls to your Pokemon, but not ones made from Apricorns. Why? Because the data for them doesn't exist in DPP. The games are compatible, but not 100% compatible.

Black and White will be the same way.
 
I know it will be, but still, I'm trying to keep most stuff that aren't 100% confirmed that way.

Except it is. You know it is, there's no reason to tell people it's not when you know it is. It's like saying more Pokemon are confirmed in this generation other than the two dozen or so we know about. "duh"

I said to drop it and I meant it. You know it's not 100% because you don't have REAL CONCRETE proof in the form of links. Patience for those scans is what I meant.
