DPPt/HGSS A new challenge?

Alright, so I was looking on The Cave Of Dragonflies and I found this in Fancy a Challenge

"Train all your Pokémon evenly - basically, every time you have access to a PC, you make sure that you are carrying six of your lowest-leveled Pokémon overall. Exceptions are only to be made in the case of HM moves you need to have. This can make things freakishly hard in no time, as your levels will be extremely low compared to even the wild Pokémon you will be facing; it also allows you nice room to devise strategies for Gym leaders and such, since you will have such a wide selection of evenly-leveled Pokémon. The downside is that this can be almost too hard, what with the abundance of nearly completely useless Pokémon - to weigh against this, you could perhaps choose not to capture every Pokémon you find."

I thought this sounded interesting, so I decided to try it in Firered. It could be done in any game, of course. But I modified it. The rules are as followws

1. Everytime you use the Pokemon Center, use the PC and pull out your 6 lowest leveled Pokemon.
2. Before the first gym, you must have at least 6 Pokemon
3. The minimum number of Pokemon goes up by two every gym

It sounds simple, but it gets really hard. I don't know if this has any chance of catching on, but I'm enjoying it. I have 3 badges, just beat the Pokemon Tower. My team is
Mankey lv24
Beedrill lv24
Charmeleon lv24
Machop lv24
Gloom lv24
Butterfree lv25
Growlithe lv25
Nidoqueen lv25
Dratini lv25
Eevee lv25
Pikachu lv25
Kadabra lv25
Diglett lv25
Farfetch'd Lv26

It takes an extremely long time to cycle through your entire "team". And I dislike the lack of Water Pokemon thus far. But it's still very fun

I've never heard of that one! I've heard of a different challenge. Thanks, maybe I'll try that one! I love challenges like that, it makes playing the games much more interesting.

I have just started this challenge in LeafGreen, and so far I have:

Squirtle: level 6
Pidgey: level 3
Rattata: level 3

CURRENT POSITION: heading to the Viridian Forest, hopefully I'll have a Pikachu, Weedle, and Caterpie caught for my 6 pokemon before I battle Brock.[/align]

Wow. I basically changed my whole plan. So now I have:

Squirtle: level 6
Rattata: level 4
Caterpie: level 5
Mankey: level 3
Pikachu: level 5
Spearow: level 5

And I seriously just found a shiny Weedle in the wild, but accidentally ran away D: I wasn't paying attention, and i decided to run away and it said "Got away safely!" and I looked at my screen before pressing A and I noticed it was a shiny Weedle. No joke. It makes me sad :(

That sucks, the shiny weedle :O And Brock is insanely hard if you start with Charmander, you can barely get your team to level 10 so you have just Butterfree and Mankey.

I got Snorlax, got the 4th badge, grinded a bunch, beat the fighting dojo and got Hitmonlee. I also went to the safari zone and caught a bunch of things. So now I'm trying to get everything around level 30 to go to the Silph Co. I hate how terrible Grass type pokemon's level up moves are.... My Exeggutor and Vileplume get Acid/Confusion and weak grass moves, pretty much. So I gave Vileplume Giga Drain and Exeggutor Psychic. I also now have 20 Pokemon, which is enough for the eighth gym.

LEVEL 27: Beedrill, Butterfree, Nidoqueen, Exeggutor, Rhyhorn
LEVEL 28: Growlithe, Vaporeon, Primape, Hitmonlee, Machoke, Doduo, Farfetch'd, Raichu, Charmeleon, Dratini, Vileplume, Dugtrio
LEVEL 29: Kadabra
LEVEL 30: Snorlax, Nidorino (I haven't gotten to use either of these yet)

I'm glad people appear to like this XD

About Brock being hard with Charmander, that's exactly why I chose Squirtle. I usually choose Charmander and take a Mankey or Butterfree along, but I decided to just go with Squirtle this round.

UPDATE!!

Location: Route 3, just got the badge from Brock and Running Shoes

Pokemon:

Rattata, level 12
Butterfree, level 12
Pikachu, level 12
Spearow, level 12
Mankey, level 12
Squirtle, level 13

I grinded my pokemon on Route 2 until they were all level 12. It took a pretty long time. This challenge seems very time-consuming!

When I beat the game like on Ruby Verison All the pokemon I have caught like "GolBat or Electrike" I train on a lv close to about 50 than I might use them Battle Tower so I already did and still am doing a callenge like that

^The point is to refresh your team every time you go to a PC, so that way, all your Pokemon both in and out of the PC end up being roughly the same level. Training them later doesn't really count for the purpose of this challenge.

Although I don't think I'd ever personally do this myself during a game, I definitely like the concept and the execution.

I grinded a lot O_O
But it still barley means anything, this challenge is exhausting. I beat Koga, I've been surfing around, I went to Cinnabar. I evolved Growlithe, Nidorino, Dratini, and Doduo. Everything is currently level 31

Charmeleon, Dragonair, Dugtrio, Beedrill, Farfetch'd, Primape, Raichu, Snorlax, Dodrio, Vileplume, Vaporeon, Rhyhorn, Machoke, Arcanine, Kadabra, Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Exeggutor, Hitmonlee, Butterfree

I don't know how I'll ever be a high enough level for Sabrina

And I'm thinking of adding a new rule/clause/whatever you want to call it: When you beat the eighth gym, you must pick 6 Pokemon to go through with for the rest of the time. Or would that defeat the purpose? I'm not entirely sure.

For Sabrina: just make sure you have pokemon that know Bite or another Dark-type move. Nidoqueen and Nidoking are risky, since they (at least I know Nidoqueen does?) can learn Bite, but the fact that they're Poison-type makes them risky to use against Sabrina.

MY UPDATE:

Wartortle, level 19
Nidorino, level 18
Rattata, level 18
Mankey, level 18
Clefairy, level 18
Butterfree, level 19
Spearow, level 18
Pikachu, level 18

Grinded to level 18 and beat Misty (yay!) and I beat my rival on the S.S. Anne. I'm currently in Vermillion City, wanting to head for Lavender Town and Celadon City before defeating Lt. Surge.
