Ruling a noobish archtype Question

this question is prob really noobish, but here it is:

if your using Banette Ex, with something nobody is using(almost), is it then still considered as an archetype? (as Banette Ex willl be an archetype(even is))

It depends. If your strategy is the same or almost the same as the archtype, then I say yes; you're just using a variant.

But if your strategy is nowhere near what the normal Banette ex archtype deck is, then you're good.

Well, Banette EX is a Pokemon that has Archtype Material. In my opinion, it depends on the Pokemon you are using along with Banette EX. If the Pokemon is not popular around the Tournament area, then it should be a rogue deck.

Until about 10+ players uses it and becomes more popular by the Week, it will stay as a rogue deck. Hope this helps you out a bit.
