First I heard around 2pm (Est time) that Farrah Fawcett had died. Now I just heard that Michael Jackson has died. I am totally shocked right now. I remember both of these gifted people were a part of my childhood growing up in the 80s. I remember watching Farrah on Charlie's Angels and listening to Michael Jackson's Thriller album on my walkman. What a strange, sad day. My heartfelt best wishes go out to all of their families and friends.

It's a shame but If it is true that Michael was a child molester or a pedophile then he made a horrible mistake that tarnished not just his image but his music career as well which was outstanding...
We also lost Ed McMahon (Johnny Carson's sidekick) and David Carradine (Kill Bill) as well...

:.( May Farrah Fawcett rest in peace..... I watched a Farrah Fawcett contribute a month ago called 'Farrah's Story' and it was just heartbreaking to hear she had cancer. Now I feel even more sad that she's dead. But what amazes me is that after that live Biography of Farrah, I thought she would die in a few days. But she didn't. I sit here in agony replying to this thread. At least Farrah is in a better place....
Micheal Jackson will be remembered as a great musical artist for many years to come. Even though I wasn't a big fan of Micheal for being a..... well, lets not go TOO deep, he still was one of the greatest musical artist in the world.

yea, I heard...I was like wow...and just the day before, for some strange reason I had Thriller stuck in my head

Everyone is shocked an Michael Jackson officially passed away at 2:30 PM PST He was one of the Jackson 5 with his brothers. They did that for about 10 years then they broke up and Jackson went solo and he did not do those misjiff things. He was ONLY trying to help them. He always did like kids and I was glad he was aquitted in 2005. It is a shocker to everyone because everyone loved his music. He has collapsed on stage in the past but this time he collapsed for the last time. My heart goes out to their families. Rest in piece. Hope you have a good life in your new worlds.

Yeah, I heard about it also and I feel so sorry when I learn that he died. He's been a good star and really entertain people with his energetic and full of humor performance on stage. Hope he'll rest in peace...

Anyway, yeah. The music business has been shaken to its core now with MJ's passing. TV was hurt from Ed McMahon. And don't forget pitchmen with Billy Mays. Entertainment has been delivered a blow.

They are still talking about it on the news here. Apparently he did not take those pills before he died and he was abused growing up so that drove him crazy. He did take a lot of pain killers though to help with his problems. Between that and the abuse he had gowing up made him live a short life.
